Jim was actually sent over by another plumber who could not get to my job right away. Jim showed up, looked at the job, we talked about the options and he gave me a bid. Let to get the new water heater. We back in about thirty minutes. He had to make some changes to the water and gas lines. Added shut offs and installed new one. Took the time to explain operation and maintenance of the new one. Cleaned up the work site. Removed all debris and old water heater. I was impressed with his work and his attitude.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

There were a couple minor issues with a couple of the tiles and JVI addressed those immediately with no problem and no discussion of any additional cost. He was very responsive and did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and promptly returned calls. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions, and as an engineer, I tend to pay more attention to the details than the average person. JVI showed up exactly when needed in order for their work to properly coordinate with the other sub-contractors, and when the schedule changed, JVI was able to make the adjustment. I acted as the general contractor, so I coordinated the overall scheduling of the remodel work and worked directly with JVI on scheduling the tile work. The actual work was performed by Carlos, who was very professional, prompt, courteous, conscientious, and thorough. We were very happy with the finished product and it has held up well with no problems to date. Natural stone, especially a softer stone like travertine, takes a higher level of care than porcelain tile, and JVI provided that extra care to insure a quality finished product. We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others looking for a tile installer."
