Recent Septic Tank Service Reviews in Colorado Springs

They did it all and they did it great!! Very professional and personable! Answer the phone every time I called and showed up every day until the job was done. Wish all companies I’ve hired gave the same experience...

Fantastic! Snaked and scoped the sewer line and found that there needed to be a clean out installed. Went and got the parts and did it right then, working into the dark hours in the middle of winter. He came out the day that I called him, after all other companies in the area stated "nothing could be done". I would recommend him over and over and over again! He also charged the most fair price as anyone in town and provided higher quality and better services than they were

  • Kline's Services Inc.
I Bought a bank owned house and needed the septic pumped. Called around and found Klines. They were professional and very helpful with info when I called them. I made the appointment and they were on time. When the gentleman started his work, he realized that I had only uncovered one of the service tank access holes. We quickly worked together to dig out the other. Then, when we thought we had finished, we found a THIRD cover. Turns out the property had 3 (300 gallon) tanks in a row. We kept digging until all three lids were exposed. He was happy to help and it made quick work. It really was my fault for the extra time needed, and the guy had a great attitude and was easy going about it. Very very helpful. By the way, the septic tanks were PACKED full. Looked like it hadn't been pumped in many many years. Yet still, the Kline rep was happy to work the whole thing through. They charged me 195 for the septic pump. 125 for a septic treatment, and approximately 80 dollars for extra site work

  • Arrowhead Septic
Tech showed up on time, we quickly resolved issues with getting the truck close enough to the tank, and the tech was superb in doing the right things.

  • Honeybee Pumping Service
This was not an emergency, so we were scheduled about a week after calling them, which was totally fine with us. From what the woman said on the phone, in an emergency, you get bumped to the top of the list. Nice to know. The man came in the time frame specified, did the pumping, and showed my husband that the Outlet Tee was crumbling and needed to be replaced. He had what he needed with him, and it didn't take very long. Very professional and efficient. This company was recommended by the people at Apollo Propane, and we will gladly recommend them to others

  • Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Colorado Springs
Doug Johnson was the technician that performed the services. He was patient, professional, took the necessary time to do the job right, waited while we obtained permission from the homeowner to remove the toilet in order to scope the line, then explained in detail his findings while also answering my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this company to anyone purchasing a home

  • Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
Their service was very good. They told us what was wrong and showed us with a camera what was down in the pipes. They were in and out in about 2 to 3 days. I have seen other people have dirt in their yard for weeks before they finished. They did a good clean up job from outside as well. We were very pleased

  • Arrowhead Septic
The professional call taker immediately had tech call me. Arrowhead was not able to perform the work needed, but the tech gave me some DIY advice. Saving $$$ and a call for plumber.

The gentlemen was prompt, efficient and professional. Would definitely recommend him to anyone needing his type of service.

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
