Small jobs welcome

"No Limits Plumbing did a great job replacing the plumbing in a 74 year old rental house I own. Joe and Marco were very informative and knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The job required removing all the old galvanized piping and some of the old clay drain pipes. The place now has great water pressure and everything drains as it should. They were super clean and left no messes. I would give them a 5+ star review if it was possible."

"Excellent service and communication! Mike handled all the scheduling and office work and his plumber Caleb was right on time, professional, and highly skilled. The price was right, too. I'd use Drain Right again for any plumbing job."

"Had them replace a drain pipe in my foundation. They were timely and efficient. Price was very good as I have been through this nightmare before. Really appreciated Keith and Nico! When Keith arrived, I instantly knew I had the right guy advising me on this. Nico did a great job doing the job. Thank you both."

"I had a clogged kitchen drain on a weekend, a challenging time to find a reasonably priced plumbing company. After several unsuccessful calls, I made an appointment with an expensive service for the same day. I received a call back later in the day from Jason at Afford-a Router. He answered my questions and made an appointment for the same day. He arrived at the house, reviewed and resolved the problem in twenty minutes. He was professional, answered my questions, and the charge was very reasonable, considering it was a weekend. I highly recommend their services and will use them again."

"The only issue was with how the appointment time showed on HomeAdvisor. Drainline does appointment blocks when they could arrive (ex 10a-12pm). We thought we had a 9am appointment but found out we actually had a block between 9-11 when someone could show up. After we got past that, the work was priced well for what we needed and we're happy to have a new pipe."

"Ben did a great job fixing our pipe leak in the basement. He was very professional and we got it done the same day. I will definitely be using him again for any of our plumbing needs."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

The most common cause of a clogged sump pump is natural debris buildup. As water enters the sump pit, it can carry small pieces of debris that build up over time, or the debris can get caught in the filter. If you forget to cover the pit after cleaning the sump pump and pit, debris can also collect in the pit. Corrosion on the metal discharge pipe can also clog the pump. Additionally, if your pipes freeze, it can prevent water from draining properly and cause a clog.

It is generally not recommended to pour hot or boiling water down a drain to unfreeze pipes due to significant risks. In some cases, the sudden temperature change can cause more ice buildup or produce steam, which increases pressure and could cause the pipe to burst, leading to costly damage and potential burn injuries. While hot water might help with a partially frozen drainpipe, it is unlikely to thaw a completely blocked water pipe further down the system. Additionally, boiling water can damage plastic pipes over time. Safer and more effective methods include using a space heater near the frozen section or applying hot towels directly to the pipe.

If the drain pump on your washing machine is continuously draining, it could be that the control board is damaged and requires repair, or there’s a clogged or kinked drain hose. If you can’t locate the problem, you’ll want to have a plumber or appliance repair expert come take a look.

A small amount of diluted bleach is okay to pour down a garbage disposal. As part of your weekly garbage disposal maintenance, use 1 teaspoon of bleach with your concoction of ice cubes and lemon peels. Turn on the disposal and run the water until the blades chop up the ice cubes.

Any more bleach in your disposal can harden oils and greases in your drain, which can cause problems. Always wear gloves when working with bleach, and know that you really don’t need bleach at all—vinegar, baking soda, salt, and ice should do the trick.

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.
