Customers say: Quick response

"They did a good job. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was that they did manage to leave a few loose screws in my carpet. Thankfully I vacuumed them up before we could step on them."

Small jobs welcome

"Juan also had to resize the cabinets over the oven before he could install the microwave. The cabinets look great. He also had to redo the exhaust ductwork that is inside the cabinet. We also had some drywall work done in another room at the same time. It is really nice having someone who can do all of this so that we have one person who can do all the work and do it very well."

"We recently had our kitchen cabinets refaced. After getting quotes from several companies, including one recommended by a membership-warehouse, we chose to go with Affordable Kitchens and Baths. The owner, Chris, gave us several suggestions which we agreed with. His materials samples were of excellent quality and his quote was very reasonable. We are very glad we went with Affordable Kitchens and Baths. The finished production was beautiful! The outstanding workmanship stood out immediately. I highly recommend that anyone serious about having cabinets refaced have Affordable Kitchens and Baths show you what they can do. We are so glad we did."

"Amazing service and clear communication by all of the team who worked on getting out 43 kitchen cabinets and drawers painted. The initial sales person to the office lead, to the designer, to the job coordinator, to Osmar who is amazing in his ability to prep the cabinet bases and frames to the onsite and off site painters and to the overall process. I highly recommend Kind Home for their impeccable work. Sincerely, Kathy B."

"They did an amazing job on an old house needing a lot of TLC! They not only painted 8+ rooms, they updated dark stained trim and doors, installed missing baseboards, painted a brick fireplace, fixed drywall issues and replaced door hinges and nobs. I will use them for all my projects going forward!"

"Put our furniture together, pointed out an item that was damaged and needed to be replaced, fixed a couple of chairs, hauled away our old stuff. Very professional and cleaned up after construction. Would use them again."

"I hired Side Kick Services for monthly house cleaning. I’ve been very pleased with the results and highly recommend the service. The prices are competitive and they are consistent. I live in a rural area where it’s difficult to find a reputable service. Side Kick came through."

Closets questions, answered by experts

A "reach-in pantry" is a smaller, cabinet-style pantry that allows you to grab items by simply reaching inside. On the other hand, a "walk-in pantry" is like a closet or small room that offers a larger space that you can physically enter to get your food. Walk-in pantries allow for more customizable shelving. A reach-in pantry is usually around 5 feet wide by 2 feet deep, while a walk-in pantry is closer to 5 feet by 5 feet or larger.

Hanging and folding clothes are efficient ways to pack your clothes during a move. When choosing a packing method, consider the type of clothing you’re packing. For example, clothing such as dresses, suits, blouses, and items made of silk and similar fabrics are ideal for hangers. On the other hand, it’s easier to fold pants, shorts, t-shirts, thick sweaters, and more.

When storing your clothes long-term, first consider the container's breathability. While plastic bags, cardboard boxes, or vacuum sealing may be great options for short-term storage, they won’t help your clothes hold up in the long term. Breathable plastic boxes and fabric bags help with airflow, prevent mold or mildew from building up, and allow proper airflow.

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to help optimize and maximize space, functionality, and usage. It is recommended to confirm the availability of this service with your specific installer or contractor.

Tiny house living requires creative solutions to the one biggest issue: space. Many people in tiny houses find life most manageable if they practice minimalism. Eliminating excess items and clutter makes the living space feel bigger, which can be a significant mood booster. It can also be challenging to get utilities arranged for a tiny house, and building and zoning codes can and often do present unique challenges to overcome.
