"I recently had Christopher Jones install a new kitchen pantry and a hall closet, and I couldnâ t be more thrilled with the results. From start to finish, he was amazing. He helped me make design choices that fit my needs perfectly, including customizing the pantry to fit my dog's huge food container and adding a curtain. I am so organized now. Both the pantry and the hall closet look absolutely beautiful, and you can tell how much hard work and professionalism went into them. Chris was there every step of the way, making sure everything was just right. Everyone who comes over now loves my new pantry and closet. I'll definitely be hiring him again for future projects. If you need any custom pantries or closets, I highly recommend Probuilt. Thank you so much, Chris For your fantastic work!"

"I rarely hire contractors and usually do every job around my place myself. I'm very particular about the quality of a job and have been burned by contractors before. I didn't have to worry about that with Master MCG Remodeling. Dylan is a hard worker and has attention to detail. He built a lean-to type of carport attached to the side of my garage. He did a great job, and the total amount came in under the estimated price even though I slightly changed the initial design. I'm very happy with his work. He showed up when he said he would, did a quality job I wanted under budget, and cleaned up after his self. I couldn't be happier with the results I got. I highly recommend him! Kelvin A."

"I would give Travis more than 5 stars if that were possible. I hired him through HomeAdvisor knowing that heâ s licensed and insured, to install a keyless door lock. Travis responded to my request immediately and he was polite, professional, and patient with my questions. He showed up on time and prepared to start the job. He met each obstacle that popped up, such as missing and broken parts, with workable solutions. I appreciated his attention to detail â and he also cleaned up the work site when finished. Travis went above and beyond to be certain everything was done well. I highly recommend Travis for any project."

Customers say: Quick response

"Shane was a great partner to work with on a bathroom and bedroom closet remodel. He was very straightforward about his expectations and his quote for service. He aggressively priced the project and most important the timeline to finish the project (17 days) to meet the budget. While we did go over budget on several upgrades to fixtures, the project was completed on time and to a very high standard. His crew (coji) and his supply chain of electricians, glass and tile crew and drywallers are great! The weekly and daily schedule was communicated and updated daily and Shane actively participated and managed the project! he does not mess around which is why I will hire him for an additional phase of the project."

"Mark and team helped us add walls and doors to our house. The turnaround to schedule was quick and accommodating to our timeline, with a fair price. The texture matched well and they painted to match."

"The entire experience from start to finish was very professional. We had a garage full of boxes we hadn’t opened in years and Linda took into account our attachment to sentimental items guiding us with care and ease through the entire process. We love our new clean organized space and she gave us skills to keep it this way."

"We had our basement finished in November 2018 and am very pleased with the results. Ernesto and Edgar were very professional, were easy to work with and available to answer questions. I highly recommend E&M for your remodeling needs. We plan to remodel our kitchen in the future and will be calling E &M Remodeling. Great work and within the time frame quoted. We love our new basement!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

The time it takes to build a closet varies widely depending on the project's size, complexity, and level of customization. On average, construction can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks.

A simple reach-in closet might be completed in less than a day, while a more complex walk-in closet could take one to two days or more. A typical project often falls in the 2-to-5-day range. However, a large, highly customized walk-in closet that requires structural changes, like moving a load-bearing wall, will take significantly longer.

A professional contractor can provide the most accurate time estimate for your specific project. If you are planning a DIY build, it is best to budget additional time.

How many days it takes to remodel a closet will also depend on the scale of the project. Small changes like installing a prefab kit will eat up an afternoon and no more, while a total renovation could require several days to a week. If you’re planning for the latter, plan to secure other sleeping arrangements while construction is ongoing.

There are a few reasons custom closets are expensive: materials used, the luxury factor, and time to build. The people who can afford custom closets are those who can afford increased rates, and construction workers and contractors know this and charge accordingly. The time to build custom closets is substantial, especially if expensive material is being used or intricate details (like carved wood) are added to the project.

A foyer or entryway is typically a formal landing area for guests, located at the primary entrance of a home. It is often more formally decorated and connects directly to the main living space. In contrast, a mudroom is a more casual, utilitarian room, usually leading in from a secondary entrance like a garage or the side or rear of the house. It serves as a space for residents to remove shoes and outerwear to keep mud, dirt, and water out of the main home.

If you have a bathroom closet with movable shelves, you can place them at virtually any spacing that works for you. Useful measurements between shelves in the working, or middle, section can be 10 to 16 inches for towels or linens. Lower or higher shelving could be up to 24 inches between shelves to store lesser-used or bulky items or boxes.
