"â Garcia Dry Wall (719) 464-0160 is top notch. I have used them for several projects in my home- small and big. His skill in matching the texture is phenomenal - all his work results were seamless. Not only is the team (if more than one is needed otherwise itâ s Guillermo Garcia-owner) skilled, knowledgeable, fast, and professional but they are honest and affordable and their customer service is outstanding. I had several Dry wall specialists come out and give quotes and he was the most affordable. Quite honestly I was worried and thought paying less would be reflected in his work - I was amazed how â Perfectâ and the expertise of the process and end results. Not only did he install new drywall where an electrician that I had hired totally damaged the walls while adding a surround sound system- ( he said 4-5 holes would need to be made- 14 hokes later, my media room ceiling nearly needed to be replaced! Thank goodness for Guillermo Drywall- installed new and matched the pattern and paint to perfection- all at a competitive cost! He also noticed a few places that a past dry wall tech had repaired when we moved here and asked if he could redo it for me- at no cost. Grant it, it was a smaller area but anyone else would have charged and he was right, it was an eyesore. And his professionalism and pride of his own work - wouldnâ t allow him to leave an area of lower standard to reflect on his work. So he fixed it! Wow- this is a rare quality! You wonâ t be sorry if you call to get a quote and hire them! García Dry Wall company are truly experts with competitive pricing set upon a foundation of honesty and outstanding customer service."

"We had existing attic insulation removed and new insulation blown in. Net Zero's staff was extremely professional. They did a great job and cleaned up afterwards, and left the house cleaner than when they began. I would definitely recommend them. They are one of the few companies who offer financing as well."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is possible to have too much insulation, which can have detrimental effects. While more insulation might seem better for energy efficiency, a home needs to "breathe" or ventilate to release moisture that accumulates inside. Over-insulating can seal a house too tightly, trapping water vapor and leading to several problems, including mold, mildew, and condensation. Homes in warm, humid climates are particularly susceptible to mold, while those in colder climates can experience condensation from temperature fluctuations. Additionally, adding more insulation than the recommended amount for your climate may not provide recoverable energy savings. To avoid these issues, consult a professional insulation contractor who can determine the optimal amount of insulation for your home.

It depends on your needs and preferences, though many homeowners think it is worth it. Not only is blown-in insulation easy to install, but it is highly efficient with thermal regulation. Most types are mold-resistant, flame-resistant, insect-resistant, and, most importantly, completely safe.

Yes, products made from renewable resources and with reduced chemical impacts.

Blown-in insulation works, but only for unfinished attics. Also, it isn’t the longest-lasting nor the most effective option. For better options, look into spray foam insulation or natural fiber batts. They typically have a longer lifespan, better heat resistance, and stronger sound-proof abilities. Spray foam insulation costs about $1.25 to $1.50 per square foot, but can go up to more than $4 per square foot. Fiber batt pricing varies depending on the material.

R-30 insulation is better for higher thermal resistance, but whether it’s "better" depends on the application. R-30 is much thicker and suited for areas like attics or floors in cold climates, where more insulation is required. R-13, on the other hand, is thinner and works well for 2x4 walls or milder climates where less insulation is sufficient. Choosing between R-13 and R-30 depends on the area being insulated and the climate. For example, R-30 provides more insulation but may not fit everywhere in your home.
