USI Powers Insulation

I am not the actual customer, but a victim. The trucks arrived just after 7am. They blocked my driveway. I asked them to move. The told me they will not. They started swearing and getting belligerent. To make a lone story short, I had to call the police to get them to move. If you have ever been in this situation, you know this ruins your whole day. I also called the company and filed a complaint. I just wanted to make people aware of this.

They did a great job and were on time.

The price was reasonable and there was no waiting on getting it done. The job was finished in a couple hours. Communication was good with this company.

They let us know they were no longer in the gutter business. Called a few days in advance to set up a time to do the insulation. They were late and called at 4:45 in the 3:00-5:00 PM window to tell us their truck broke down and they'd be late. Blew in the insulation but didn't coordinate with the roofer about additional sofit vents or put in baffles where the new vents should be added. It was very difficult to communicate with the workers because only one could speak a little english. If all you need is some insulation blown it this company is OK.

The instalation of the gutters started on time, Tuesday Sept.21 2010. I had left to go to the store and returned home just as the instaltion had started. I suggested the the gutters be installed under the drip rail to to keep water from leaking between the gutter and fascia. That was not done and sure as water is wet the next day it rained. You can guess what happened, more water leaked past the gutters and fascia than flowed in the gutters. So back they came to install the gutters under the drip rail and processed to bend the drip rail in to a potato chip which destoyed the pittsburge joint on the starter coarse of the steel roof that just had been installed. When they bent the drip rail up, after I told them to not been the rail up to far. Now I have to have the new roof repaired if it can be repaired, and the roof is sitting while the roofing company comes down from Denver to estimate what the reapir will be. there excuses was it was my fault because I put the new roof on before I desided to get rid of the old gutter and put new ones on. Now I have to wait while the great guys at Roofing Co. come down from Denver to figure out what to do about the damage. CH

Not well. I was told the system is ProPink Complete. The netting crew work at breakneck speed and did a poor job. The netting was not tight, staples stood proud and the staples were too far apart. This resulted in excessive bulging between the studs and insulation getting between the studs and the netting. I complained and they drove in many of the protruding staples and fixed a few areas. The attitude of Powers was the drywall will cover it. The drywall crew said no, it will show in the drywall. That aside, I have the ProPink Complete brochure and what they left me does not look like the brochure pictures. I called manufacturer of the insulation and was told Powers did not follow the recommended netting installation instructions. When Powers sent a repair crew the crew kept asking me "Is there anything else we need to fix". My position is I hired professionals and I expect them to do it correctly. I would not use them again, nor use this insulation system.

They cleaned up pretty well, but there was a little we had to clean up as well. We liked their professionalism and the way in which they answered all our questions before they commenced work.
