Multiple reviews due to incorrect assumptions or lack of detail. Catastrophic flaw designed into the first attempted "plans". Was forced to bring in a 3rd party engineer to resolve flagrant issues with the design. Complete lack of understanding of residential roof design. Causing massive delay and over design. Would not recommend them to build an outhouse."

"Our building hired J2.26 to conduct an engineering report, and the experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Dan, the engineer, visited our property on July 17, 2024, and we paid promptly for the service. Despite that, and after at least six emails and phone calls from our property manager over the following months, we never received the report. Over a year later, on July 28, 2025, I went to their office in person to get answers. Dan was rude, dismissive, and offered no apology. His only excuse was that the job had ?fallen through the cracks.? That level of disregard for a paid service is unacceptable. He agreed to return to our property and conduct a new scan at no additional charge, which he did the next day. While we finally received a report on August 19, 2025, it still did not include the original report we had paid for in 2024. The lack of communication, professionalism, and accountability from J2.26 is baffling. I would not recommend this company to anyone."

Services included working directly with clients to verify processing equipment needs, layout, logistics and budgetary requirements. His timely delivery of the needed review and continued support has helped this project move through project refinement and approvals."

"I wanted to echo some other reviews on here; do not give any money to this crook. I hired Dan for some engineering work for an addition to my house. He came out for the initial consultation and seemed nice enough, but didn't take a single note of what we talked about. The contract said he'd have the initial drawings done in 4 weeks. Finally 3 months and many unanswered emails/calls later he finally delivered some drawings that were so far off the mark from what we discussed I was actually embarrassed for him. I once again went over the details of what I was looking for and he said he'd make the changes. At this point he completely ghosted me and didn't respond to any of my contact attempts. I finally had to submit a credit card charge back to get my money back from this low life. TLDR: Dan Canda is an absolutely worthless individual and will try to steal your money. DO NOT USE!"

"Greg was absolutely great----arrived early, incredibly professional, and found several things I suspect a lot of other competitors would have missed which were very much appreciated. The inspection went fast, but nothing was missed. This guy obviously knows his stuff, and we've already recommended him to a neighbor considering selling and buying a new house too. "Van Matre was truly outstanding from start to finish. Brady gave us an honest assessment of our situation and a number of reasonable options to choose from. He taught us a lot about foundations, and spent lots of time with us as we tweaked and tuned the plan. They were able to get us on their schedule fairly quickly, and they finished the job in about a week, which I thought was amazing. Willis, who led the crew, was super nice. He recognized our interest in the details of what they were working on, and kept us informed the whole way through. Joel, Wheelz and Adam were awesome too. They cranked through the work and left our finished basement just as clean as they found it."
