"I hired Mark with Anderson Diagnostics on 2 separate occasions. Both were very positive experiences. The first time Mark changed out interior and exterior door hardware, and did drywall/wall texture repair. The second time I hired him to paint the interior of my home as well as change the baseboards in my master bedroom. He does excellent quality work and communicates very well. "I have a 3 horse, bumper pull trailer that was over 20 years old. The tongue metal was compromised, the spare tire mount had fallen off due to rust and compromised metal, and a metal panel on the interior gate had fallen off. I asked them to fix those problems and then inspect the trailer for any other problems. They fixed the issues, and created solutions that were cost effective and much more robust than the original design. They took care of some additional issues that I did not see, and I am confident that the trailer is much more safe for both my family towing it and the livestock inside it."

"I found these guy through a friend of mine who had her fence done and she highly recommended them even though it wasn't fence related she said that the owner of Hakfab mentioned if she or anyone else she knew ever need any a handyman to give them a call which i did. It went great without a problem, Jason and his crew where polite, respectful, and honest when it came to coming into my home and fixing the issues I had. Jason showed me the problem, explained to me the cost of repair, why the component failed, as well as taught me better practices so that components similar would be less likely to fail and have a longer life. The price was very reasonable, thank you Jason and the Hakfab guys. I will be calling them again for any future needs."

The right snake trap depends on your needs and the species of snake. Glue traps are the easiest to handle but are inhumane and may catch and kill other animals, like squirrels, birds, and mice. Cage traps catch snakes alive so they can be released elsewhere. Minnow traps are the best choice for water snakes. 

Although raccoons aren’t particularly picky regarding food, certain sounds, metals, and smells bother them. You can place these items around your home to keep raccoons away:

  • Place wire mesh screens around and underneath decks and porches to prevent raccoons from nesting. 

  • Put metal sheeting around the edges of your roof or at the base of trees to deter raccoons from coming close. 

  • Place a loud battery-operated radio near the raccoon’s den to keep them from nesting.

  • Keep a bowl of cider vinegar on your deck or porch.

  • Remove old raccoon scents by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting underneath porches and decks.

If you’re having trouble with your traps, first examine them for flaws that would allow a squirrel to escape easily, such as loose doors or hinges. It’s also important to consider the location of your trap: Place it in areas with higher squirrel traffic, and make sure it’s on a sturdy surface so it can’t wobble or tip (squirrels aren’t likely to walk in a trap that isn’t stable). Lastly, try changing out your bait—in-shell peanuts or peanut butter often work best.

Scented mouse deterrents, like peppermint oil, can be effective in the short term. The pungent smells may temporarily repel mice, but they lose effectiveness as the scent fades or mice get used to it. The main drawbacks are frequent reapplication and the fact that these deterrents don't address the root cause of the infestation, such as entry points or food sources. While they can be part of a broader strategy, scented deterrents alone are rarely enough to eliminate a mouse problem.

Even if you have extreme ophidiophobia (fear of snakes), don’t try to shoot or kill them with a shovel. Besides being pretty cruel, killing snakes in most states is illegal unless your life is at risk and many species are protected.
