"It went very well.  Greg called and provided me with an estimate for the labor, told me I could go and purchase the toilets myself or he would do it for me. I opted for the latter.  He explained every decision each step of the way and was in and out in a matter of a couple of hours.  He did a great job.

"The gentlemen who came to fix my clogged drains were neat and clean and very professional. They assessed the problem, told me what they were going to do, gave me the cost of the job (which was very reasonable) and had the job done in less than 45 minutes. I was very pleased with their work and will use them again."

Small jobs welcome

"Mr. Soto was a pleasure to work with. He never pressured us in our designs and always willing to offer his professional advice when needed. I believed our approach by allowing us to purchase the items we wanted saved us several hundred dollars. Most bathroom remodeling companies expect you to purchase their products which are typically over priced. We preferred to have the ability to adjust our budget when appropriate and change out items if we didn’t like them. We will definitely consider his services for future projects."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

If you notice water leaking down the side of the bowl or tank and you don’t notice any cracks in the porcelain, the odds are that it’s condensation. If you notice water around the base of the toilet, this points to a leak. Check for loose bolts. A sewage odor may also indicate a broken toilet flange.

Brown stains in your toilet bowl are most likely limescale. Limescale happens from lime being left behind from hard water evaporating. Once dried out, the minerals also catch dirt and bacteria which eventually accumulate into the brown or blackish stain you see in your toilet. To remove thick and hard limescale from your toilet, use a mixture of vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda, and scrub with a metal scrubbing brush.

If you notice that your toilet is leaking puddles near the base, the leak is coming from your toilet bowl, and the water could be unsanitary. This is a situation that needs to be dealt with immediately—call a nearby plumbing repair pro right away. A contained leak from tank to bowl is not as urgent a situation, but it could be raising the cost of your water bill—have it looked at as soon as you can.

To keep your toilet in good working order, replace the toilet fill valve every five years. Toilets get quite a workout, so while toilet maintenance may not be on top of your to-do list, it’s essential to keep up with it to ensure your toilet is in good working order and ready when needed.

Some of the problems with in-wall toilets include the complex installation, which might need extra framing. It is also more difficult to access the toilet tank for maintenance or troubleshooting because it’s behind the flush button panel and in the wall. Over time, you’ll spend more on maintenance because you’ll need a plumber to work on hidden plumbing.
