Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Colorado Springs

Without a doubt, I was scammed by this company and by Tom the contractor. I called them out because of a flooded toilet, they dug up and supposedly replaced all the piping in the back yard but really they just needed to snake the drain because it was fairly new piping out there. My neighbor was home when the crew arrived, and said they were just standing around most the time anyway and they definitely didn't pull a permit because there was no tamping done when they filled the hole and the city never came back out to inspect. I guess I'm grateful at least that none of my dogs fell in the hole and got hurt, although they did leave the fence in and let my dog out at one point. But what really ****** me off is they messed with a wire down there that connects to my water heater, so I didn't have hot water for a week and at first they acted like they didn't know anything about it and it was all a coincidence. After all was said and done they charged us $6800 and I had to pay an electrician another $450 just to fix their damages. I had to put it on credit.I don't mean to sound dramatic, but hopefully this review saves someone from becoming Tom's next unknowing mark.

Set appointment up 5 days in advance. Called 4 hours before to say they could not make it and didnt know when they co.e give estimate

Outstanding - Kyle arrived on time as promised and quickly began diagnosing the pressure problems. He did minor tweaks to the system and answered all of the questions that my wife and I had. He was a true professional and I would DEFINITELY hire him and Mr. Rooter again!

This sewer line service was required as part of the sale of the home. The receipt from Mr Rooter stated "Ran camera to main street and found no major issues. Line is bellied a little in cast iron but is consistent with the age of the house. Six month warranty on root blockages only." However roughly two months later the buyer contacted their real estate agent on 9/17/2018. To state they the experienced a full blockage and required another plumber to return to the property to remove the root obstruction in the main line. They required another plumber because Mr Rooter would not return to the home to clean the line, they would not cover the additional cost to the new buyer, nor honer their six month warranty as documented on their invoice. Mr Rooter was hired because of an Angie's list recommendation, however the warranty and recommendation are not worth the paper they are written. Buyer Beware.

They are honest and do excellent quality work. In 2012 Mr. Rooter installed a new sewer line running from our house to the city main underneath the street, cost $6719. The original line from 1971 was ceramic pipe sections that were coming apart. To reach both ends of the pipe, they excavated deep holes near the house foundation and in the street. A new one-piece HDPE (plastic) pipe was pulled through the old pipe from hole to hole. The pipe was attached at both ends and the holes backfilled. This type of pipe will not break. They also installed two cleanouts in the front yard. Mr. Rooter took care of all the utility location, legal permitting, and road closure. They referred us to Wells Fargo Home Projects to do no-interest financing to pay the bill monthly over a one-year period. In 2014 they installed a new gas water heater and got the permits and inspection, cost $1329. We've also used Mr. Rooter many times to repair or replace faucets, install a kitchen sink disposal, and clear/repair drain lines.

Ok, the job got done. I believe they were over priced, ad said they didn't charge for after hours and guy who did the job, not so friendly. Did the job, collected his money, took machine and left I understand that job can't be easy and has probably seen some pretty gross stuff but good customer service is what a person remembers to rehire for the next time.

Doug Johnson was the technician that performed the services.  He was patient, professional, took the necessary time to do the job right, waited while we obtained permission from the homeowner to remove the toilet in order to scope the line, then explained in detail his findings while also answering my questions and concerns.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone purchasing a home.

Professional, provided video that was legit.

The Tech was polite enough, but was running late about an hour beyond their "window".  Equipment was quite dirty.  He laid a "Mr Rooter" mat outside front door, but that did nothing for my home interior.  He ran the snake through under the kitchen sink once and said there was a 30 day warranty, but problem was back within 6 weeks, so I'm out of luck without paying another $$.  This is a mobile home so there are no tree roots causing problems, I'm always careful with what goes down my drain, and use drain cleaners regularly.  I don't believe he snaked far enough (My home is 72' long and I told him that) and I think his snake was just not long enough or he didn't feed it far enough to clear clog through to exterior pipe drain, and again, only ran it through once.  Since I was not given a firm cost when I made the appointment, I really do not know if I actually received a Senior discount or not.

Cody was very polite and tidy. Both his boots and the wheels of his equipment were covered as they passed through the house.

The work was warranted for 30 days.

He came out promptly on a Sunday as no extra expense.

Options for each additional job were explored (even how we could do a job ourselves if we chose) and arrangements made to return for that work at a reasonable cost estimate.

We received a discount as repeat customers as well as for use of a coupon.

This is the guy we will call every time we need plumbing work.

The crew tried diligently (eight times!) to tunnel with a mole in order to pierce the new water line from the meter pit to inside our fenced area withing 15 feet of the house to prevent disturbing the driveway, but our soil condition was too solid. Instead, they came back the next day to open a trench across our driveway 10 feet to the foundation of the house.  The extra effort DID NOT affect the price! They stayed till dark when necessary for the mole effort.
They had to go through a cement edging and under rock landscaping to get to the house. When they were done, they replaced the rocks, mortared the hole in the cement, back filled the trench to rough grade, compacted the soil and promised to return if we found the ground settling over the former trench.
 They supplied and installed the water service pipe that would save us the most money on our water bill but still provide good water pressure and meet specification from the water department. Of course, they also supplied all the necessary connection materials at the water meter pit and to connect to the existing copper water supply in the house, including connection support materials, full port isolation valves and a pressure reducing valve. The proper contact was made with the water bureau for inspection before and at completion of the job.
