"Very Professional and delivered everything they promised. Had them out to do some repair and stain the entire deck. They got it done as promised and left the job cleaner than when they started it. Even helped move heavy items out of the way for us. I would recommend David and team for any deck work I or my friends have in the future. Truly a 5 Star Company."

"Rusty was very friendly. He quickly assessed the state of my deck and let me know what repairs would be needed. Due to overhead, it wouldn't be economical for him to do the work, but he gave me guidance on how to go about the repairs, which parts to buy, etc. I was very happy with his visit, I just wish"

"I had 4 decks that were approx all the same size. Were 20 yrs odd and original wood. I chatted with Cid to see options. He checked them out and had two options ... Sand and Seal or replace the top decking. We were looking for a long term solution so we choose the replacement. Cid helped guide us to the right material and we choose Timbertech with no breaks which meant 18' lengths. Quick, efficient, total cleanup. Cid returned for some post project adjustments and all is perfect. Highly recommend. Jack/Castle Pines Village"

"Jim did a wonderful job on the repair of our 18 year old deck. We had originally thought that we would have to replace the whole thing, but he evaluated the deck and we only needed to replace half it. He is honest and saved us a ton of money by replacing only old worn out pieces. We will definitely hire him again when we are ready to replace the remaining part."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You can nail or screw composite decking, but 3-inch decking screws are the better fastener choice. Unlike nails, decking screws won’t back out of the composite material over time. There’s also little danger of splitting composite material when driving screws, so you don’t need to pre-drill holes unless otherwise recommended by your decking manufacturer.

To prepare a deck for a hot tub, start by thinking about safe and easy access in and out of the tub. Homeowners should plan for steps or consider built-in seating, a level surface around the perimeter, and a clear, slip-resistant path from the house. A hot tub requires sufficient space around it for comfortable entry and exit, ensuring no awkward squeezing or stepping over high edges. Good lighting and handrails can also make a big difference, especially for nighttime use.

You do not have to dig footers for a deck as long as it meets local code and holds up to weather in your area. If you live somewhere that experiences high winds and earthquakes, you may need to dig for your deck posts. Deck blocks, post anchors with base plates, and helical pile systems are the three no-dig deck post options you can choose from if local code permits.

Any wood deck provides some ventilation to the area below, as is the nature of that type of deck design. However, areas that experience excessive humidity and associated moisture benefit greatly from a dedicated ventilation system in the form of strip vents. This addition helps the various wood boards contract and expand evenly throughout the years and reduces the chances of twisting, warping, and buckling.

No, you don't need to stain Ipe decking, although you can if you want to change the color. You will, however, need to apply a UV coating if you don't want the natural color to fade. Speak to a deck staining specialist near you to discuss the best options if you want to stain your decking. And remember that you’ll need to seal your Ipe wood deck annually to protect it from scratches and Mother Nature.
