"You need to watch the crew like a hawk. In my case, I contracted to have remaining grass and weeds to be removed add soil amendments and rototill, smooth, and establish the final grade. The grass was not only remaining along edges but in common areas as well. The final grade was not smooth and level. They proceeded in laying sod! I intervened and stopped the laying of sod. I asked for the remaining grass to be removed and till the soil before laying the sod. Did I mention I only have 188 sq ft and the sod was laid both horizontally and vertical with no pattern!"
