"The crew showed up promptly and quickly began cleaning. We needed a deep clean of our living room, bathroom and kitchen. Everything looked so good when we came home! Our house attracts so much dust and everything was dusted and shiny. Even areas I’ve never seen clean looked good! We would definitely recommend HighLow Cleaning and we will certainly hire them again."

"Jennifer from Odds N Ends is amazing. She always does a phenomenal job with my VERY lived in home. My husband and I both work full time, and we have two small sons (with a third on the way) in addition to two dogs and two guinea pigs. Jennifer makes our home radiant. One of my favorite moments of the week is coming into the house when she’s been there. When Jennifer first started with us, we had some pretty icky build up on our wood floors from some ill-advised waxy products. It has been a long-term project, but with patience and expertise, Jennifer has restored our floors to their former glory. She is truly amazing and I recommend her without reservation!"

"Had a great experience and am very pleased with the work done. The owner Josh Jacks was responsive to my inquiry and despite a busy schedule, was able to fit me in right away for both the estimate and for completing the work on my tight deadline. His estimate was much less than a competitor and the results are very impressive indeed. Josh communicated clearly throughout the whole process and answered all of my questions along the way. His crew was professional and hard-working and they did a fantastic job. I can't believe how great my bathrooms and floors look - like brand new! I would highly recommend Josh and Advantage Tile and Grout Cleaning and would definitely use them again."

"All around friendly, professional, and considerate. The technician was very helpful. Explained the task and what needed to be done. Didn’t try to sneak in extras and was upfront about all he would do. Very considerate too as they made sure all areas the were working in were throughly cordoned off with plastic sheeting to keep us from seeing any mess. The clean up was done with care and no trace of floor mess left behind. I would recommend them in a heartbeat! Thank you Environment Control!"

"It went great! Gino was responsive to my calls and scheduling needs. His service is highly detailed and he gets it right the first time. He also uses a technique that reduces the amount of residue left behind. The carpets dried quickly after the cleaning, rather than the sopping wet state I've seen other companies leave behind. I felt comfortable enough with the cleaning process/chemicals to let my little son roam free on the carpet. His price point is not the cheapest I've seen, like on fliers. It is also not the most expensive. He has no hidden charges and offers a military discount. Considering the honesty of the service offered and the quality, I believe the price is a deal. I have no doubt that I will use this company again."

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

The cost for professional floor cleaning is $250 on average. This cost can range from $100 to $1,500, depending on the type of flooring and its square footage.

For example, natural stone flooring requires specialized techniques and care, so you'll spend closer to the higher end of the cost range. The cost of cleaning tile and grout is more cost-effective, where you'll pay an average of $0.50 to $3.50 per square foot.

A floor polisher won’t remove scratches from a wood floor, but the polish can fill in surface scratches and make them all but invisible. If you run your fingernail gently over the scratch and it doesn’t catch, chances are that the polish will hide it. If it does catch, you might want to have your floors fully refinished, and you might need to have a professional floor sander in for particularly deep scratches. When in doubt, call a professional floor polisher to determine if polish will fill in your scratches or if you need more in-depth services.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.

Polishing a concrete floor isn’t as expensive as it sounds—it’s actually one of the more budget-friendly upscale flooring options out there. On average, it costs $4,500, with most projects falling between $1,000 and $8,000 . When you’re working with an existing slab of concrete, you skip material costs entirely, so it’s even more affordable. If you want a glossy, durable floor without paying hardwood or tile prices, polished concrete delivers serious shine without the sticker shock.

Baking soda is an excellent choice for a natural dog urine neutralizer. You can sprinkle it on a stain, leave it overnight, and then vacuum it in the morning to help rid your hardwoods of the dog urine smell. Hydrogen peroxide is another odor neutralizer, but be careful not to mix it with other household cleaners.
