"Mario was professional and friendly. He arrived on time to do the estimate. He was flexible with scheduling. He communicated a reminder by text the day of the service. I was impressed with the clean up after the stump grinding in front and back yard. His associate removed 5 medium size dead Aspen trees, cut them into wood burning stove lengths then stacked them neatly where we asked. Wood chips were removed from the yard, drive and even the street in front of the house. I really liked that I could pay through Venmo. Their service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I will hire again if I need their type of service. Great experience."

"These guys were great from start (bidding) to finish (clean up). Prompt, courteous, professional and significantly less expensive than other companies. They took down two very big trees in difficult locations close to the house. Definitely recommend."

"Wow! What a great job! Paul, Anthony and the crew did an excellent job trimming 4 very large trees and several bushes. They were prompt, courteous, very professional and fully cleaned up the brush and trees. We highly recommend A.P. Evacuation and Landscaping and will be hiring them again for more work. Overall, they exceeded our expectations; thank you very much! As an aside, this is a family business and they worked together beautifully. The working relationships were admirable and again, we highly recommend them!"

"Prompt response and able to do the project the same day and cleaned up everything including old branches at the end of the project. Might have taken a bit more off the branches than I’d like, but I’m no arborist and they certainly removed all the dead/non-leaf branches at a great price."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.

Yes, the same rules discussed above apply to your neighbor: They can trim one of your trees as long as they’re only cutting the portion that extends into their property. Your neighbor is not allowed to access your property without permission, nor can they cut past the property line.

Yes, you can prune a palm tree with a chainsaw, but a chainsaw is overkill for a job like this. You risk damaging the tree if you make a bad cut. More commonly, you’ll need pruning shears or a serrated knife to trim a palm tree, or you can use a specialized pruning saw instead of a chainsaw.
