Customers say: Quick response

"Eagle concrete construction company did an outstanding job. Was on time and finished the job just right. Friendly and very acknowledgeable for what I wanted as the customer. They made sure that everything was cleaned up and properly put things back in place. They even went beyond the call of duty. Jose and his staff was amazing in putting down the concrete and even wrote a â In memoryâ statement on behalf of my husband Ted whom I lost last July. I filled up with tears. My heart was overwhelmed. I highly recommend them and their pricing was well within my budget. No overpricing what so ever. I canâ t thank them enough. It looks beautiful. Great company. "Excellent! Morning Star Concrete Construction, John and Chris, are top notch. This project started with demolition of a concrete driveway, digging a hugh foundation for an addition to a garage, removing about 26 yards of dirt, forming new addition, driveway and front entrance walkway. Pumped in 32 yards of concrete, colored and stamped a portion of the driveway and entrance sidewalk. Job completed on Friday by 2pm. Five days, start to finish! Workmanship is excellent. I highly recommend this company for your project."

If your old bricks are in decent condition and you have the space to store them where they’ll be protected from the elements, keeping old bricks is often worthwhile. You’d spend anywhere from $70 to a few hundred dollars to have them removed from your property, in which case you won’t be able to use them for future projects. Holding on to old bricks in good condition means you can use them later for other DIY projects, potentially saving yourself some money on disposal and new materials down the road.

It’s called cobblestone because it’s made of stones that are “cobbed” together. A cob is a term that refers to rounded lumps. Originally, cobblestone streets were made from pebbles and stones gathered from riverbeds that had been rounded over time by the passage of water. The term has nothing to do with a cobbler, which is the term for someone who makes and fixes shoes.

Fireclay is a type of clay but it is a type of clay that, because of its chemical composition, can be fired at a much higher temperature than other clays. This results in a denser and more heat-resistant final material. Because of the high percentage of a mineral called kaolin, fireclay sinks are smoother and more durable than other clay types.

Cutting stone comes with a number of safety hazards. First and foremost, if you’re not comfortable with the equipment required to cut stone, including blades and grinders, you could easily injure yourself. The heavy machinery also poses a risk to your ears if you don’t wear proper ear protection; similarly, you need to wear eye protection to keep debris from irritating your eyes.

However, the biggest risk from cutting stone comes from the stone dust. When breathed in, stone dust can be a huge hazard to your lungs. Always wear a face mask when cutting stone to prevent inhaling stone dust, and thoroughly clean the work area when you are finished.

To avoid injury, we recommend hiring a stone-cutting professional, rather than attempting this job yourself.

The premise for painting a brick building is fairly simple: Prime the bricks to seal the surface and apply the top coat to protect your brick home. However, it’s easy to miss a few important steps if you’re starting from a raw brick surface and don’t know the basics of how to paint brick. So be sure to reach out to a local professional painter if you have any reservations about correctly painting your brick house.
