"I’m glad I found Yuba Sutter Strong Haul Junk Removal! Why? Because they are the kindest and hardest-working company I’ve ever hired for landscaping. As a family-owned business, they truly go above and beyond. Their customer service is consistently excellent, and their prices are very reasonable. They’re also incredibly communicative and honest with their quotes. I highly recommend them to others. We truly appreciate them and their outstanding service!"

"Great! Mike showed up at agreed time to give an estimate. We agreed on date/time/amount. He showed up with his trailer on the hauling date, after being in touch during the day to confirm. He was very professional and personable, and he quickly loaded the items. We would definitely use him again!"

"We had a young man named James do multiple jobs for us. He tilled the yard, moved rock and trimmed up and down some tree bushes , removed from the property, and cleaned up. We also had him come back and do a couple of dump runs. We are very happy with his work and ethics. Will definitely have him back for our next project!"

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

To prevent drain clogs, perform regular maintenance and cleaning. Avoid disposing of substances like grease or coffee grounds down the sink. Additionally, installing and routinely using drain strainers can help catch debris and prevent blockages from forming.

You may be able to install a garbage disposal on your own, especially if you're handy or have some experience with plumbing. However, if you have any concerns or want to make absolutely sure that the connections are installed correctly, you may be better off hiring a local garbage disposal installer to do the job.
