We will take almost anything! Things we do not take are items like: chemicals and refrigerators. We have our set pricing yes, but we are happy to negotiate price with you. I am a recently graduated high schooler going into the junk removal industry. With years of working experience, over 10,000 hours of volunteer time in my high school career, a few months in the junk removal industry, years of junk removal experience, and 7 generations of business owners, I have taken the liberty of continuing to serve my communities by providing them with a service that allows them to keep their homes, businesses, or properties clean. My partner and I have known each other since middle school, and he is one of the most hard working people I know. This is an owner operated business, and We would love to take this business to the moon. We are very much looking forward to working with you!

As with many appliances, proper maintenance is key to maximizing your garbage disposal’s life span. If everyone in your household is on board with proper care and maintenance, like running water while operating the disposal, you should get plenty of years out of your unit. These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

Garbage disposals last an average of seven years but can function well past 10 years. However, as time goes on and more food is ground, the grinding plates will slowly lose their edge and need replacing. A motor likely won’t last 10 or more years, but you should be able to get a minimum of five years at least, even under heavy usage. 

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

Whether you choose to repair your garbage disposal will depend on the problem. For minor issues like a bad seal, you can fix the unit for less than $10. If the motor unit is broken, which can easily cost $150, you may want to consider replacing the entire disposal if it’s getting on in years.
