"Yes. Billy said everyone was great on install date. Omar was helpful and communicated effectively. Team worked well together and were efficient. Team was respectful of our property and cleaned up after work done. All of the team members being available was excellent to get install in one day. We hopefully will enjoy the benefits of the insulation and all went as anticipated with install. Very glad we had it done. Leo was excellent with pre install quote and arranging for install. We got a few quotes . We paid highest quote to have the work done quickly which met our needs. Thank you for the excellent service"

"Apex did a complete remodel of the interior of my home. New Kitchen (cabinets, countertops, appliance installation etc.), Bathroom Vanities, new LVP Floors / baseboards throughout the house, and complete interior paint. Igor and his team did a fantastic job. It's like a new house. They promised quick work and they delivered! I was living in the home throughout this process so I really wanted this done as quickly as possible. Unlike other contractors that I had previously, there was a team of people doing something almost every day until the work was done. Their price was competitive too! I had four different estimates and it came down to two. I went with Apex because they promised a quicker timeline. They have experts in all areas from plumbing/electrical, to quartz countertops and floors. You have to trust someone to do your remodel. I trusted Apex and I am glad I did."

"The owner of the company Jason Taylor spent time in my attic before we contracted with them so he could give me good and correct information. He also participated in the work of shooting in the insulation. He was very hands-on. Donâ t usually expect this attention from the owner/boss Was very pleased."

"Very happy that we went with Approved Contractor for our first major home project. We got quotes from several other companies and none were nearly as helpful or professional. Our windows were installed quickly and they look fantastic. Our one issue was that wood frame edges around the windows weren't fully sanded down for painting after installation. Despite this, we plan on using Approved Contractor for future projects. Thanks!"

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install an egress window is approximately $3,900, with a typical range between $2,500 and $5,300, though costs can be higher. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the window's size, type, material, and glass quality. Other variables include labor costs, location, excavation needs, and whether permits or a structural engineer consultation are required. The price of the window itself often depends on the number of panes:

  • Single-pane: $100–$400

  • Double-pane: $200–$500

  • Triple-pane: $300–$800

Additional features like window wells or covers will also increase the total project cost. It is advisable to obtain multiple quotes from professionals to get a comprehensive understanding of the expenses for your specific project.

Finding a reputable contractor for an egress window installation involves researching and vetting potential candidates. Start by searching for local professionals, reading customer reviews, and checking their websites for a portfolio of their work.

Once you have a shortlist, ask the following questions to ensure they are qualified:

• Are you licensed and insured?

• What experience do you have installing egress windows?

• Can you provide references from previous customers?

• Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors?

• What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule?

• How do you handle payment?

The proper way to install a window well is to measure the window, dig a hole deeper and wider than the window, place a drainage tube and cap, anchor the well to the foundation, caulk the seam, and backfill the hole. The job requires tools such as a hammer drill and auger and some heavy digging. Proper placement and window well installation are critical to preventing water from leaking into the window.

Because egress windows are meant for emergency exiting and entering, they need to be an accessible size. The smallest an egress window is allowed to be is 15 inches in width and height, with an opening of around 4 square feet.

Yes, with modifications or the use of adapter kits for tricky placements.
