"Handyman JC was on time and courteous. I needed some help with my AC, re-caulking my tub, and a special carpentry project (I needed a removable screen above my front door to keep birds out). Price was reasonable. I have more projects and plan to contact him again in the near future!"

"Very polite, professional interactions... I had a new bathroom door installed, originally just wanting it reversed, but agreed to buy a new door, and not just the door, but the whole frame too, which at the time, was not aware of until the day of work. So my door trim, both sides had to be removed, and this, some of the trim broke in pieces. I was not made aware of broken pieces, until after all work was done, after they left, as they were nailed back around my brand new door and frame! I wish I had been made aware of this and what options were offered so it would look as good as before he started, not worse. Should have just had new trim as well, to give the polished professional look anyway. The caulking around the door trim on both sides was inconsistent and sloppy and messy and looked rushed. I had to clean up a lot of it. I also had grab bars installed for my disabled son, those were fine except for one of the shower bars. It was placed to close to the corner that the face plate is not flush and won't lock into place like the others. Nothing I can really do, as I do not want a bunch of holes in my shower. I gave an opportunity for them to fix the door trim and they were willing, however, they wanted to charge labor or just fix only the broken piece.. I was willing to buy the new trim for entire door (except the broken one) and felt they should have been willing to cover their own labor as I should not have had to have them out again in the first place. They could have taken they hour or whatever to replace the trim and do it right, looking professional, and with a happy customer. I took a chance using a handyman without a license, which I felt was overpriced, but paid it as I needed things done for my disabled son. I never have used Angi list before, so I felt that if they were on the list, it would be professional and good quality work no matter what. Again, Professional and prompt, a good beginning to a young man trying to start a business, but still some things to learn about the quality. I say for the record, the handyman I hired, brought a side kick who mainly worked the door, and it was him that did the sloppy work and broke the trim. Also, a side note, language barriers are hard to deal with as you don't know all that is being said? The sidekick was not fluent in English and they spoke the whole time in Spanish, my husband and I both heard 2 separate time the words "Mickey mouse.. That's never a good thing when someone is working on your house. I have referenced myself in times past, ;Mickey mouse work It is not flattering."

Small jobs welcome

"Mr. Daniel and his team were super polite and professional, he gave me a great estimate and went through what he was gonna be working on my house. They fixed my floorings and they painted my wallsreally good. I had them clean my gutters for what the picture shows they did such an amazing job. And then they did me a little side walking path with cement blocks. I don’t longer have to step on my grass when it rains. I honestly enjoy my living room and my outdoor space. I’m looking forward to get one of my bedrooms remodeled. Right now he is working on doing an outdoor bed garden"

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

In Turlock, you can address minor home repair issues by clearing slow drains with a plunger or snake, replacing HVAC filters monthly during hot summers, and using sun-resistant paint for touch-ups. Seal windows and doors with caulk before windy seasons to improve energy efficiency. For complex electrical, main plumbing, or roof repairs, always contact a local handyman service professional to ensure safety and proper property maintenance.

Helpful?

In Turlock, it’s time to schedule handyman service projects if you notice water stains after rain, electrical issues during heavy AC use, or gaps where pests might enter—common in areas surrounded by agriculture. Regular home repair tasks, like HVAC maintenance before summer or roof checks after winter storms, are best handled in spring or fall to avoid extreme Central Valley heat and ensure your property stays in top shape.

Helpful?

In Turlock, hidden costs for handyman service projects often include permit fees for electrical or plumbing tasks, material price fluctuations due to supply chain challenges, and necessary code upgrades in older homes. You may also face expenses for asbestos or lead testing in pre-1978 properties, debris disposal, travel charges for outlying areas, and weather-related delays. Property maintenance sometimes uncovers additional repairs, especially in homes with aging infrastructure.

Helpful?

In Turlock, small handyman service projects like faucet repairs or caulking typically take a few hours, while medium jobs such as bathroom updates or fence repairs may last one to three days. Larger home repair tasks—like whole-house painting or deck construction—can extend to one or two weeks, especially if Central Valley weather or material delivery delays occur. Efficient property maintenance planning helps keep projects on schedule.

Helpful?

Before starting handyman service projects in Turlock, confirm if your project requires permits and secure any necessary HOA approvals. Schedule utility line marking ahead for digging work, and order materials early to avoid supply delays. Notify neighbors about potential noise, verify your contractor’s insurance, and plan for weather disruptions—especially during heat waves or rain. Proactive property maintenance planning helps minimize unexpected setbacks.
