I was at the point of finding honest, reliable, qualified craftsmen or letting my house fall down around my feet.
From my first phone call with Joe of North State Drywall, I've been very satisiied with the courteous, professional manner I've experienced. I initially purchase a special he offered, but due to health issues, was not able to have the work done immediately. Before he offered his next special, he called to make sure there wasn't a problem and wanted to take care of his prior specials before he scheduled new business.
When I was ready to start my project, he scheduled it in a very timely manner. He arrived on time, wasted no time getting started and I can find no fault with his performance. Wallpaper removal can be a very messy project, and Joe made every effort to leave my home in good order when he completed his work.
 
As an added bonus, he is a very pleasant, courteous man and it was a pleasure th have him in my home. I would recommend him highly.

"I was recommended to Fine Point Painting by my parents. In the past my parents had bad luck with contractors who gave meaning to the term, Jack of All Trades Master at None. I grew up doubting contractors but Bill and his crew were fantastic. When he came out to do the bid he answered all of my questions and was thorough on explaining to me the reasons. When I had additional questions/concerns he was quick to reply via email.
The house we purchased to put it nicely, was in bad shape. Previously, it was a rental which I'm sure you can imagine the state
it was in. It also had termite damage in which Bill advised me to have the paint job done after the fumigation tenting. Apparently,
fumigation causes fresh paint to peel!!! Thank goodness we painted after the tenting.
We had the whole works done on the interior. The acoustic popcorn on the ceiling was removed, sanded, textured, primed, and
painted throughout the house. Also, the trim, doors and cabinets had oil based paint which needed to be sanded and primed in order for the latex paint to stick. The walls were sanded as well to remove embedded hair follicles and pebbles that were painted in the walls from the previous painter. Most of the interior of the house and entire garage smelled of animal urine and they pressure washed the garage with a cleaning solution to eliminate the smell. There were numerous cracks on the walls and ceilings which they filled. There were also 8 giant holes in the walls that they patched. They did an amazing job on the patchwork since you can't tell they were there!!! His crew was professional, courteous and they came on time. Also, they cleaned up after themselves very well. And this is coming from someone who is borderline OCD.
There were no hidden fees or added fees tacked on at the end. What made it easier for us was a payment plan which was broken down into 3 payment installations. This meant we paid them after each chunk of work was completed. I have heard stories where people have paid contractors upfront and the contractors run away with money or they don't finish the project.
If Angie's List had +'s and -'s I would give them A+'s. There are no words to express how pleased we are with Fine Point Painting. Our house looks amazing, the garage has no smell and I will hire them again for future projects.

This time I they painted the trim on the our house. In some cases it needed scraping and even repair. They did all that and did an excellent job of painting. The crew was very professional, did not get any paint on areas they shouldn't have, and cleaned up every day. There was a full crew every day so that the job was finished quickly. He stated a time frame of start to completion which was met. I was very satisfied with customer satisfaction. If something was not quite to my liking, the owner stated he would come back to fix it at no additional charge. At the completion of the job, my lot was cleaned of debris. The price was middle of line in comparison to other painting businesses."
