I have owned my own interior design business, Envision Interiors, for over 16 years. With degrees in both Psychology and Interior Design and a background in Software Engineering and Medical Devices, I am able to work with a myriad of personalities and communicate in a way that gives rationale to design ideas. I specialize in color, material (tile, natural stone) selection, and furniture selection and placement. Being a fine artist, I am familiar with the nuances and subtleties of color and texture that can change the "feel" of a home. I pride myself on being an “out of the box thinker” and using original and inspiring ideas to take into account members of the family, their lifestyles and their budget. I work with people on any budget and any size project from new construction and remodeling to updating a look. I am adamant about staying within budget. I ask my clients to answer my interior design questionnaire that I e-mail them prior to our first meeting, in order for us to be more efficient and effective. Envision Interiors is based in Mountain View, California and has serviced clients in the Bay Area since 1998. Award winning.

My husband and I have different opinions and tastes of how we wanted redecorate our living room, family room and bedroom. We both felt we needed add some color, fun and furniture to our "safe" beige house. To have a clear and professional opinion, Eliana came over and met with us. I found that she is professional, patient and has style with all of her decisions. Right away we knew Eliana was exceptional from how she gave us a rough sketch for the family room to the ideas of how to add color and warmth to the house. For the redesign, she brought samples over, went shopping and also sent us links for items we could consider and purchase. She always kept the communication open with both of us which I must give her credit. Eliana also is talented in incorporating our current layout and with new items for that pop of style and color, transforming an old space into new. Eliana is a lot of fun to work with and is a phenomenal designer. I highly recommend her guidance in any project, as she brings a creative and exciting mindset to each venture.

Eliana is a pleasure to work with! From the start, she is a professional at follow-up, doing what she says she is going to do, and availability via phone, text, or email. At one point, after the painter had started, I wanted to add another color to one of our living room walls. I called Eliana and she immediately gave me three wonderful color options to choose from.
I had never worked with a designer before and wanted to hire someone who was creative, yet would respect my aesthetic. Eliana was a great fit for me, because she is very artistic, yet respectful of my style. She had so many great suggestions, and the occasional idea that I did not agree with was no problem for her. She moved right on with another great idea!
No way could I pick out the paint colors that she did! The colors work together so well, and complement our furniture and wall coverings. Eliana very carefully paired the paint colors with our current furnishings. I often appreciated her respect for our budget by working with what we have whenever possible.
After our meetings, she sent me "to-do lists", detailing what we had talked about doing for the house, along with suggestions about where to shop for future purchases. I have referred to these lists many times to help stay on track.
Our home is coming along beautifully, thanks to Eliana. In the Spring, we hope to paint the exterior, plus do some other outdoor updates, and I look forward to working with Eliana again!

What a gem.
Envision Interiors was exactly what I was looking for. I was putting a team together that was going to redo an outdated 1,014 sq foot 2 bed 2 bath condo in South Austin that I was in the process of purchasing while still living in Michigan.
I needed someone who I could trust that could handle the job of researching, presenting and ultimately recommending all the pieces and parts to guts this place and start over.. this included color schemes, tile, carpet, hard wood, bedding, couches, floor layout, furniture, cabinetry, lighting, media cabinet design and even home decorations.
Eliana hit the streets and canvassed Lowe's, Home Depot and other physical storefronts as well as multiple internet retailers to provide options with pictures and suggestions for each and every item on the list, all while keeping my budget in mind. She laid out an attack plan and together we proceeded step by step until the list was done.
This made my life much, much easier!
It's plain and simple...I could never have gotten this place, I now call home and get tons of compliments on, to where it is without her.
The icing on the cake is that she was a joy to work with, very patient, genuine, experienced, talented and a truly good person, wife, mother and friend.

Overall, the process was pretty painless. We walked the property and Eliana gave me suggestions room by room as to what needed to change. After the appointment, I received a written report documenting her suggestions with resources to help make those changes.

You never know what you're going to get when you hire a designer. I was so relieved that Eliana turned out to be really, really great. She was very prompt at returning emails and phone calls, on time and professional, and a warm, friendly person whom I enjoyed working with. She also really knows her colors! Anyone who's ever tried to pick out colors on their own knows how overwhelming that can be, but Eliana helped steer us away from some bad color choices and towards some awesome color combos. By the end of the quite comprehensive color consultation, I was tired but smiling. I am confident that all the colors will look great together once painted (Goodbye boring beige walls!). I have zero complaints.

It went very well- Eliana, arrived on time, very prepared as I had filled out a questionnaire prior to her visit and she knew what services I wanted from her. She had more than enough paint samples to choose from and I did not feel like I might be missing out on paint color. She was very patient, listened to my paint color experiences, was very knowledgeable and stayed on task. She sent me a complete report of the choices that were made and the paint company is mailing me the samples of the colors that were chosen. I was extremely please with Eliana's service and highly recommend her and will certainly use her in the future.

We LOVE Eliana. We worked with her before she moved to Austin, and the only thing we regret is that she isn't here in the SF Bay Area any longer. But we have continued to work with her via email and she's continued to provide great service and advice. She also has arranged to visit us during her next trip to the Bay Area (at our request) to provide a bit more help.
So many good things:
1/She "got" us. She appreciated our style and needs. She didn't try to remake us or make us throw away everything; she worked with who we are and what we like.
2/She is affordable. I couldn't believe how much advice and guidance she provided (and continues to provide) at such a reasonable price.
3/She respects our budget. She provided lots of options for furniture, carpet, etc. that we can afford.
3/She gave us great advice. We were really, really stuck and didn't know how to solve the multiple problems. Now we're making progress.
4/She provided a super-helpful checklist for us to follow. It is organized so we can take one step at a time and still make progress. It's clear and easy to follow and packed with information: contractor names, recommendations on furniture and colors, URLs for where to purchase items -- everything we needed.
5/She's responsive. I have emailed her with questions about carpet color and type, a kitchen cabinet, contractors, etc., and I typically get a response the same day.

Eliana came to my house, right on time. Very effectively and efficiently choose the colors that matched each room. She was very patient and a good listener. She is very gifted and has a great vision for colors. The moment she walked in to my bathroom, for example, she named the color that matched with the fixtures and the overall design, same thing with my kitchen. Initially I was kind of puzzled by her color choices since those colors did not cross my mind. But I trusted her and had my painter do what she proposed. The outcome was excellent and to this day I get compliments on these colors. I never ever could have got such result by myself.

We selected Eliana/Envision Interiors to provide hourly assistance/advice on our master bathroom remodel, since we did not really need a full project manager. Her first visit was to our home to see our home style, our taste in furnishings and the layout of our existing master bathroom. Our project involved an upgrade in materials only as we did not change the layout of the bathroom at all. Eliana took some measurements, we discussed a overall scheme for the bathroom and made a plan to meet at the tile store next. After every meeting, she sent us an extremely helpful, detailed memo summarizing what was discussed that day. She also includes suggestions on websites to check out for product recommendations. This is how I selected my vanities and counter tops. Our next meeting at the tile store was extremely efficient. Eliana has an excellent way of paring down all of the overwhelming choices. She kept our meetings on topic and had a vast knowledge of the materials available in my price point. She also had a wonderful working relationship with the staff at the tile store which helped expedite the process. She assisted us in picking floor tile, wall tile, and decorative tile for our feature strip. We met once more after that to go over paint selections for our bathroom and the rest of the master bedroom. She also made some great suggestions on what could be added in our master bedroom(plants, an armchair, artwork) to create a more finished look.
Eliana was fantastic to work with. She is professional, knowledgeable and very talented at what she does. Her price point is very fair for the services she provides. I am hoping that even though she has moved out of state, she can assist me remotely or when she is back to visit, on our next project. We recently moved and were attempting (without much success) to accommodate furniture and belongings from our previous home into the new one. We had bedrooms, a living room, dining room, bathrooms, and kids playroom all of which needed space planning attention. We had a less-than-positive experience with a previous designer and simply wanted someone who could give our new home a fresh look, with quick (but thoughtful) recommendations on what type of furniture would go where. We also needed suggestions on interior and exterior paint, as well as accessories (such as hallway mirrors, area rugs, etc.) We found Eliana on Angies List and she was delightful. She spent about 4 hours with us, going through the house in detail. She took measurements, photos..and came prepared with a variety of swatches and paint colors for us to look at. We went through every part of the house and she thoughtfully listened to what we were after, and made great suggestions. The following day, she emailed us a spreadsheet detailing all the items we covered in our meeting, and included links to websites and stores where we could peruse at our leisure. I'm delighted to report that since she visted us (about 3 months ago) we have steadily worked through her list and can see the results -- our home looks great!

It went great! We had Eliana of Envision Interiors help us with design when we remodeled our 1920's Bungalow in the Historic Rose Garden of San Jose back in 2004. She was such a savior in helping us chose colors, furniture, placement and materials. We loved working with her so much that we continue to call her for ideas with other projects. She is also an amazing artist. We purchased some of her art work. One of her masterpieces sits on our dining room wall and looks terrific. When we have guests over, they always complement the design choices she made and they love her painting.Even though she is moving to Austin, TX, we will continue to call her for design advice.

I was actually looking for someone who could help me with a kitchen and bath remodel. Eliana Frank told me she was not a kitchen designer but she could help with finishes and colors that would work with the rest of the house. In fact we spent several hours together because we talked numerous things about the house, not just kitchen and bath. We talked about space utilization, furniture and layout, colors, rearranging some of my "favorites" to better display them. I found her suggestions and advice so valuable that it was really worth my time and the expense, even though it was beyond my original agenda for the meeting.
Eliana is high energy, enthusiastic and creative. She can work with any budget and can help you establish a budget. I appreciated her creativity and ideas because my house is a custom build and a catalogue style just wouldn't fit the architecture or me. Eliana immediately "got me" in terms of the look I was trying to achieve and made numerous suggestions about better utilizing items I already own, and where I could find a few others to complete the look, and do it within my budget. I would never have been able to remember everything we talked about. No worries- two days later she sent an email that listed all the specifics we discussed, a To-Do list with suggested priorities, and recommendations on where to find the information or items I would like. Sources ranged from appliance store with current clearance prices to furniture to specific paint colors (including the manufacturer's identification number). In this 4 page document she included every detail we discussed, some of which I had already forgotten in just a couple of days.
I can tell that Eliana loves her work. It is not just decorating to her, it is improving the quality of life and creating an environment where her clients personality and interests are reflected in their home. My home will be much more "me" as a result of her advice. For a first time experience working with an interior designer, I have to admit I didn't know what to expect. Eliana made it very easy. She is an excellent communicator and understands how to draw out the information she needs to provide the right recommendations. She worked with me and my wife (who differ in opinions occasionally) to come to a consensus on colors and styles. That alone was worth the price of admission. She met me on site at a great tile store (her recommendation) and then later at our house to help with recommendations for finishing touches on the bathroom.
The bathroom is finished now, and it looks fantastic. There's no way I could have done it without her help.

During her visit to my home, Eliana was professional, yet exuded a lot of enthusiasm. In addition to the color advice I had hired her for, she volunteered advice about picture hanging and placement, rugs, colors for the exterior of my home, and a remodel of my fire place, as well as good (and inexpensive) places where to purchase home accessories. I was so energized, I bought a new area rug the next day. As for the walls and crown molding: Not only did Eliana's color recommendations work out beautifully, She also connected me with very good contractors who did the work promptly, responsively, and with high quality at a reasonable price. My home looks amazing. I agree with a previous reviewer: even though I was lucky to engage Eliana per an Angie's List special, her services are worth her regular fee.

Everthing went great. She responded to my initial inquiry quickly and we were able to set up an appointment for the next working day. She arrived promptly; I felt comfortable with her right away. I'd filled out her questionnaire so we could use that as a starting point. We went through tons of colors (she brought paint books from many companies so the brand I'd decided to use was already included) and combinations. Not only were the colors we ended up with the right ones, I had a lot of fun! The house has been painted over the last few days and I totally love it!
I still need to get new (black instead of white) shutters and as soon as they arrive I'll put up before and after pictures.
I was able to use "The Big Deal" to get half off her usual price, but I think even at her usual price her advice is invaluable and I will be using her again.
