"Thomas, sales, assured & described remedy for each concern including low spot where water pools. Admitted that they are not the low bid because they are superior in workmanship. Delayed start due to material pick-up. told it would still be dry by 5pm. Lawrence walk the project identified all issues including the only low spot where water pools. the crew worked efficiently enough to solicit and complete two neighbor's projects that same day. cracks were still very visible. Lawrence said I would have to wait 6 months and repeat the process for and additional $1500 to completely fill the cracks. The area did not dry by 5 but took over 24 hours to be walkable. I paid them in full immediately. A week later the water pooled at the low spot as before. no difference. I sent photos with an email. No response from the company. I followed up with a phone call. Lawrence said there was nothing they could do and refused to come look. I am very disappointed."

Placing either a layer of mixed-size gravel or a paver base under your crushed concrete driveway is a good idea. The smaller pieces will compress and prevent the larger pieces of concrete from driving into the soil below, helping to avoid sinking over time under the weight of vehicles. Precast concrete can be reinforced with rebar, wire mesh, or other materials to improve its strength and add stability. Reinforced concrete is durable and strong, making it an ideal choice for many construction projects.

Resurfaced concrete can last anywhere from eight to 15 years on average. Just how long your resurface concrete driveway lasts depends on how often you seal the concrete, the amount of traffic, how well the concrete resurfacer was applied, and even the soil quality. Poor soil that led to premature cracks in your existing concrete can quickly lead to even more cracks and problems if you don’t fix the root cause of the cracked concrete.

A 4-inch-thick concrete slab can support around 4,000 pounds per square foot if a contractor reinforces the slab with rebar, while that same slab without reinforcements will support closer to 1,000 pounds. For the purposes of a patio, 4 inches in thickness without reinforcement should suffice unless you’re installing heavy kitchen equipment or a hot tub on it. In those cases, reinforcing your slab and sticking with 4 inches of thickness should provide plenty of strength.
