"I had my kitchen cabinets painted. Lance was very professional and friendly and guided me through which paint would work best for the job. The work was done on time as promised. All these things I really appreciated. The workmanship was beautiful and the pricing was very competitive. I would highly recommend hiring them for any painting projects you have."

"Great company and employees. Overestimated the amount of paint needed for the job which customer had to pay for. We will find a way to use up the paint. We would still rehire them."

"I contacted them for a quote for a paint job, gave them the dimensions. They asked for more details in the rooms, I texted the details but didn't hear back until 2 weeks later

Customers say: Quick response

"We first met Gregory when he was painting a family members house. We were immediately impressed with the care and expertise he brought to the job. When it came time to paint the outside of our 2000 SF home, we didnâ t hesitate to contact Gregory. We had an idea of our colors we wanted and from the beginning Gregory worked his magic to challenge us to insure we were completely happy with our choice. This was the beginning of a collaborative experience. Day 1 â Gregory and his team arrived promptly and updated us of the dayâ s schedule (scraping, sanding, prep, etc.). Day 2 â Power washing, masking and additional prep work. Days 3 to 7 - Painting, painting, painting, including staining of our new fence. Gregoryâ s team always took care to make sure we were included in every step of the way and went over and above with the â extrasâ . We already plan to use Gregory for another job next month. You will not be disappointed hiring Gregory and Transformational Color."

"Jonathan and his team also painted my bathroom, bedroom, and hallway; power washed the exterior of my house, deck, and garage before painting/staining, making all necessary repairs so that the painting/staining could be done. He works with a very competent carpenter/handyman. Jonathan checked in with me every step of the way. The crew was neat and orderly; the work performed as contracted; and the price was very affordable. I would wholeheartedly recommend him and Revival Painting. It was a pleasure to do business with someone so honest and committed to doing the best job."

"My highest recommendation I have ever given to a contractor. Diaz Painting painted my house the first week of November. The weather was constantly changing between rainy, windy, to nice. Diaz Painting tarped sides of my house to keep the paint protected. I was home the entire time working in my office. The painters were pleasant and hard working. A very positive experience at a fair price."

Painting questions, answered by experts

When applying multiple coats, wait four to six hours for each coat to dry. Not waiting long enough can result in streaks, peeling, and uneven color. Plus, it will be more difficult to discern where the second coat has already been applied.

You should repaint your fence every 1 to 3 years, depending on the appearance of wear and tear. Weather and usage will factor into how often you should paint another coat on your fence. If you need to replace a few fence boards or posts, you may want to consider repainting the fence to help protect the rest of the fence as well as the new pieces against damage and deterioration from being exposed to the elements.

While power washing isn't a requirement before you stain a fence, it can make the job much easier and faster while reducing manual labor requirements. The stain will not work if the wood is full of dirt and dust, so power washing, sometimes called pressure washing, is a fast and effective way to prepare the wood for staining. Remember that you need to stain or repaint relatively soon after the wood has dried so that there isn’t time for dust and dirt to build up again.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood to help prevent the boards from cracking. However, you must wait for the wood to dry out completely before applying any finish. Freshly treated wood can take weeks or even months to dry; a common recommendation is to wait three to six months. To check if the wood is ready, perform a simple water test: drip some water onto the surface. If the water beads up, the wood is still too wet and needs more time to dry. If the wood absorbs the water, it is dry enough to be painted or stained. You can proceed with building your deck or fence while the wood is still wet, but you will need to wait to apply the paint or stain.

Moisture and rot are the largest threat to wooden fences. Stain can help your wood fence last 15 to 20 years, but only if you choose a stain with waterproofing qualities or add a sealant. Oil-based stains create a thicker moisture barrier than water-based stains, though both are mold and mildew resistant. You’ll generally need to re-stain your fence every one to eight years to get full protection.
