"After discovering mold on most of our window frames, including in our children's rooms and master bedroom, my wife and I knew we had to contact a specialist, however had no idea who to reach out to. Luckily enough, we called Advanced Clean Air Solutions. Sid came out on very short notice, (which was great since we didn't know the severity of the mold and didn't want the unknown hanging over our heads with our children in the house, etc), asked us some initial questions, took physical samples and tested our air. He was incredibly reassuring and thoughtful in his approach and it was obvious he had our best interest and safety at heart, which was a nice change for us (these days it feels like those qualities have taken a back seat for a lot of businesses). On top of it all, he was kind enough to let us borrow their air purifier/ scrubber to ensure we weren't breathing in harmful particles while we waited for the results. Long story short (or long I guess), we ended up lucking out with the type of mold found, but purchased their air purifier/ scrubber to deter the mold from reappearing and to maintain the cleanest air we can. I would recommend Sid and ACAS to any and everyone who ned up in a similar situation. They will go above and beyond and make sure you and your family are fully taken care of. Yes, you can snake a roof vent. This is one of the best ways to clear a problematic clog in a plumbing vent. You can either snake the vent by climbing on the roof and sending the plumber’s snake or auger directly down the vent opening, or you can cut a hole in the vent from inside the attic and snake it from there.

Call 911 immediately. If you have a fire extinguisher or fire blanket near the laundry room, you can attempt to extinguish the fire, but don’t open or touch the dryer.
