After checking reviews on multiple A/C and heating companies, I chose to go with Econo West due to positive reviews and military discount. My A/C was not working and it was found that my circuit board needed to be replaced. After receiving quote from Econo, I called multiple other A/C companies and got similar or higher quotes. They completed the work in a few hours and then have me a military discount of 10%. The work was impeccable and the Technicians were very polite.. The big reason for the 5 star review is a few weeks later the weather got really cold and I tried turning my Heater on and it wouldn't ignite. They certified my A/C system but did not check my heating system. I called and was told that they don't normally check another system when doing repairs but they agreed that sometimes a electrical issue could cause issues with the heating system. Econo West sent out 2 techs within a few days and replaced a part and labor for free and really didn't have too! Complete separate issue but still did not charge us due to the hassle. I had another heating company come check the issue before Econo came and they said it was the same part. They are honest and fair with pricing but best of all they do the RIGHT thing. -Michael D, Lancaster, CA

Never heard anything back re: my inquiries.

Fujitsu USA based in New Jersey referred me back to Econo West for warranty and repair information. Contacted Fujitsu in Japan. The warranty period is actually five years parts and seven years on the compressor. I cannot recommend Fujitsu equipment because Fujitsu does not pay for labor. As a result of this dispute nothing is being done although the units are within the warranty period.

The unit was clogged so they fixed that. They also do our yearly maintenance and they are reasonably priced. Professional and honest.

Excellent service by a young man named "Reuben". My water heater was not igniting the burner, noted last night at midnight. At 8am called Econo West... tech dispatched by 1045am... fixed by1130am. They promised $65 call out fee, but waived this on repair. The A.O. Smith gas water heater burner assembly was replaced estimated at a cost of $100, They charged $285 ($185 for labor) to do the job. Reuben knew the model number and picked up a burner assembly before coming out and was "ready to go" when the problem was diagnosed. Sure, I could have replaced it myself and saved $185, but for peace of mind, promptness and a one year warranty... it was worth it.

The service was fine, but the price was completely ridiculous. Unfortunately, I was out-of-town or I would've done it myself. A replacement capacitor for this unit should cost between 50-100 and it takes about 15 minutes to replace. I've had to pay to have a fan capacitor and refrigerant recharge done before on other houses (rentals and so forth with AC units dating to the 80's, not one that's less than 10 years old) and it cost about $185. Econo-West charged $360 AFTER a supposed 20% discount for being an Angie's List customer--SEVERE PRICE GOUGING!!! I requested an itemized invoice and the tech had absolutely no idea about part/labor costs and had to call back to the office to get prices. The "itemized" invoice was $265 just for the capacitor. Do not use this company if you can avoid it!!!

We have trusted Econo West to provide honest reliable service and upgrades since the company was founded. These folks are100% reliable and worthy of trust. There are none better. Finding and honest reliable contractor here in the Antelope Valley can be very challenging. Econo West has upgraded both of our heating and air-conditioning systems resulting in a savings of 30%. The service technicians are reliable thorough and professional.

Considering this is a 26-year old unit, I was impressed that they simply didn't insist that our unit is too old and had to be replaced. Instead, they were honest and fixed the problem. I've used them before, and they are always prompt, and professional. I would highly recommend.

From the very beginning of when I called Econo West I was 100% satisfied with the services I was given from Econo-West. Amber answered the phone and what a pleasant voice to her and not some automated computerized voice. She explained in detail what the tech would be doing. I could believe what I was getting for just $89. When the tech came out he was prompt and such a great nice guy. Ethan was so nice and worked efficiently and when he was done he cleaned up and left me with a $50 Econo buck for my next service. THANK YOU Econo West they sure don't make good customer service like you anymore.

Installed 2-3 pounds of Freon and changed my air filter.

I found Econo West in the Yellow Pages and had seen plenty of advertising. I called on the 28th of April, and had asked that I get in as soon as possible because my air conditioner wasn't working. Living in the Antelope Valley, when it gets hot, it can be miserable and because I have children in my home, I wanted to get my air conditioner taken care of before the temperature got to be too high. I purchased a 3 year plan at the time of making my appointment, where the company comes out a total of 6 times for just a little under $200 which I thought was great. The girl I spoke to when I scheduled my appointment, told me how beneficial it would be for my air conditioner and heater. Since I purchased the plan, my appointment to have my air conditioner looked at was covered under the plan, and the technician told me what I needed to do in order to get it working correctly again. We agreed on a price, and he was able to take care of the problems for me with no issue. I was really impressed with the technician that the company sent to me. He was very professional and respectful and I felt like he was able to take care of everything needed in a great amount of time. I am very impressed with Econo West, and would definitely recommend this company to family and friends.

uncovered my swamp cooler on the roof turned on the water supply to it cleaned and or changed the pads. They also checked the belts and lubed and or greased the parts that needed it and went over everything to make sure it was in good working order.

My A/C unit that originally came with the house was a 4 ton , installed in 1993. The condenser unit in the backyard went out. Lucky for me I have a home warranty on the house. The first company that came out to evaluate the situation suggest a replacement of everything and ran me a quote for $10,000. I then contacted Econo-west for service and a tech name Justin arrived. He was very knowledgeable and diagnosed the same problem the previous company did. After I showed him the documentation from the first company he pointed out a lot of items that they were trying to up-sell me on and over charge me. He was able to match the same exact unit and quoted me a price of $7,000. After the agreement on the work was complete we scheduled a date. They were supposed to show up at 8:00 am they showed up right on TIME! Justin spearhead the operation and had two other employees helping him. The work was complete and I couldn't be more happier with their craftsmanship and professionalism. I highly recommend Econo-west!! There was no hidden fees, no extra charges, work was done on time, and excellent craftsmanship.

I am completely satisfied with the way the company does business. They have serviced my evaporative cooler several times to my complete satisfaction. One time I had an issue with something that I felt was not right, and the owner contacted me, personally, to resolve the issue - well above and beyond the call of duty. I am convinced that the owner of this company has integrity, and he is concerned that every customer receives quality service, and he will do whatever is necessary to ensure that customers are treated well. I would highly recommend this company as my overall experience has been excellent. It is not often that an owner will go to the extremes that I have seen, in my experience with this company, to ensure that customers will be pleased with services provided and, if not, will go to whatever lengths necessary to make sure that things are put right. In fact, in the last 30 years or so, this is the only company that I am aware of that goes to such lengths. In this day and age, the company and owner deserve a lot of credit for such outstanding business practices.

As always, the installation crew was punctual, well-prepared, and very polite. Randy and his team of technicians have consistently made the "Above and Beyond" effort. There were no surprises in either cost or functionality. Very happy with Econo-West and strongly recommend them.

I recently moved to Apple Valley so I had no prior experience with anybody in the HVAC business in the area. I was going through the phone book and getting frustrated with answering machines, and no calls back. When I called Econo West a woman answered the phone right away, took all my info, and set up an appointment for the service guy to come out the following afternoon. The service guy called the next day and said he was running late because of problems on a job, and asked if he could come the next morning. (But he assured me that if that was a problem, or if I had an emergency situation, he'd make it there that day.) I said sure, no problem. He showed up the next morning, checked everything out, showed me what he'd found, and gave me a price for what he recommended doing. It was obvious to me that he was very familiar with the equipment, and his recommendations seemed reasonable. I gave him the go-ahead. He came back the following day with all the parts, and did the work. He was a very pleasant guy, seemed to work very efficiently, and cleaned everything up when he was through. His parting words were that he was pretty sure I wouldn't be needing him again for quite a while. All in all, I thought it was first class service.

my AC quit working.i called econowest to have them come out and fix it.the receptionist was very friendly and helpful.the day of the appointment,they called to confirm,and the repair man showed up on time.told me and showed me the problem,had the part on his truck,and took of it in little time.

Sloppy work. Hired ECONO-WEST HEATING & AIR INC to do the yearly maintenance on my A/C and heater and after they left my A/C didn?t work. Called the company and let them know that the A/C wasn?t working and they sent the mechanic back to my house. Before the mechanic returned I had figured out what the problem was and fixed it myself. Turns out they did not replace the cover on the furnace so the A/C wouldn?t run. I was going to Econo-West to clean my vents but after their sloppy work I don?t think I can trust them again. I spoke with the owner on the phone and while he was apologetic he was rather rude. I told him I wanted my money back and he refused. Instead he offered to give me a discount on vent cleaning.

The receptionist that answered quoted me the price for the freon and gave me options for an appointment and that they would be out tomorrow. He came out and stated that the condensor needed a hot shot and it would be $225.00. I told him I didn't want to do the hot shot. He gave me an invoice for $30 for a service call. I felt like they were charging me for something I didn't need. They didn't notify me that there was a service charge of $30 if they didn't do work.

Very pleased from start to finish. They take their time and do a great job!
