"Francisco is a pro! He came promptly even though it was a last minute request. His quote was several hundred dollars cheaper than the others. He was fast and efficient. Job was done within an hour. Definitely a keeper! . I would highly recommend FDL to friends and family. Don’t bother with other plumbers. FDL is knowledgeable, efficient and reasonable. "Our sewer main busted and Oak Plumbing’s master plumbers Matt & Mike did a great job at digging down over 7ft to replace the broken section and also upgraded my single sewer main clean out which was nearly rusted through to a dual solid ABS clean out. And also I would like to add that Nate also did a great job at identifying our problem! Thanks guys! You’re AWESOME!"

"My plumber?s name is Robert. He didn?t just do a good job but an excellent job. Why I said this. It?s already hard waking up in the morning. When all of a sudden you don?t have hot water. Called them and within the time frame he gave over the phone he was there on the dot. Gave me a reasonable price and replace my water heater. Excellent job."

"Had an excellent experience. My water heater went out on sat , he came that same day and it was replaced first thing Sunday. Couldnâ t of been easier, very polite and professional. They also made sure to clean up and made sure my carpets didnâ t get any water as they removed the broken tank. ð ¯would hire again and recommend."

A water softener is a worthwhile investment if you live in an area with hard water. While hard water is safe to drink, it contains minerals like calcium and magnesium that can cause significant problems over time. These minerals build up inside pipes, reducing water flow and eventually corroding the plumbing system, which can lead to leaks and a shortened lifespan. Hard water also damages fixtures and appliances, potentially resulting in costly repairs. Additionally, it makes soaps and detergents less effective, meaning you'll use more product to get things clean. By installing a water softener, you can prevent these issues. The initial investment is often recouped through long-term savings, including lower energy bills, reduced appliance and plumbing maintenance, and spending less on soap and cleaning supplies. Other benefits include cleaner linens, dishes, and clothing, as well as softer water that is gentler on your skin and hair. In some areas, a water softener can also increase your home's value, making it a valuable long-term investment.

The average cost to hire a plumber is typically between $45 and $200 per hour, with a common average rate around $125 per hour. This cost can vary based on your location, the plumber's experience, and the complexity of the job. Rates are often broken down by experience level: an apprentice may charge $45 to $90 an hour, a journeyman $60 to $110 an hour, and a master plumber $80 to $200 an hour. While hourly rates are standard, some plumbers may charge a flat fee for routine projects or offer project-based pricing. It's also common for plumbers to charge a minimum service or trip fee. For reference, some typical flat-rate costs for common jobs include: drain unclogging ($220), leaky faucet repair ($270), burst pipe repair ($400), toilet repair ($300), and water heater repair ($600). Note that these rates are for standard service hours; emergency, holiday, and after-hours calls will cost significantly more.

An outdoor mixer tap lets you run hot water to an outside kitchen or greenhouse. Mixer taps do this by mixing both hot and cold water together for varying temperatures.

Yes, you can use the same hole in the wall for the new spigot, provided that the existing hole is in good condition and aligns with the mounting holes of the new spigot. However, ensuring a proper fit and seal is essential to prevent leaks. If there are significant mismatches or issues with the existing hole, make adjustments or consider using a flange or escutcheon to cover any gaps or imperfections around the new spigot.

Tools include pipe wrenches, plungers, and augers. Professionals use advanced equipment for complex issues.
