"Best Tree Service I've ever had. Prompt, extremely responsive, emailed photos right after job completed, fair pricing, and the clean up after the work was finished was exemplary. Strongly sugest you give Willliam a try for your next landscaping tree or shrub trimming job or general landscaping. He's great!, and friendly and professional!"

They provide quality service and are quick. Our yard always looks great and they let us know anytime anything needs more attention. I highly recommend this company. "They were very professional, did a fabulous job and at a reasonable cost. I have used them before to do the Ventura County mandatory fire abatement tree trimming and they did a great job with that too. But this time it was a very large live oak removal due to disease that was determined to be a hazard to our house. From the time of determination and submitting the permit paperwork from an arborist, to removal of a two stemmed trunk --11 days including grinding the huge,two-pronged stump. From review and bidding, to actual removal the team was courteous, prompt and thorough. Can't say enough good about them. BTW, did I mention that they beat out two other bids! Enough said!"

"Kerry’s sends one of their arborists over to check out what needs to be done, which is why I called them. Ive had trees killed by guys I hired and the only requirement was a chipper and a buzz saw. I’ve never seen this level of care and professionalism. Prior to trimming boards were placed over the roof and gutters to protect them from damage. Clean up was terrific it, they cleaned out the garden, gutters, side of the garage. It was a great experience from start to finish."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Most plum trees are pruned into a vase or open wine glass shape. They’ll have a shorter central leader (the trunk) that supports three to four main branches. Of course, this isn't always the case. If you have a European plum tree, you can grow it in a pyramid shape. Let the central leader extend the length of the tree and prune smaller branches to create the pyramid.

Most trees can be successfully transplanted while they are young, but pines, walnuts, and some oak tree varieties are more difficult to move because their root systems grow deeper than most other trees. Also, trees adapted to sandy soil with wide root systems like beeches, willows, and aspens are harder to dig out because their roots spread much farther out from the trunk. In these cases, unless the trees are very young and small, it’s a good idea to consult a tree planting professional.

You should prune ornamental trees once every other year after the fruit has matured and begun to drop. You should also prune out dead branches whenever you see them. Pruning too often can stimulate more growth, especially in faster growing varieties like Bradford pears.

You can hire a professional arborist or tree removal service to cut down a tree to ensure safety, prevent property damage, and comply with all the local regulations. It’s highly advisable to always hire a professional, as tree removal can be extremely dangerous, especially for large or damaged trees. Certified arborists or tree removal experts have the proper equipment, training, and insurance to do the job safely and efficiently. They can also handle cleanup, stump removal, and obtaining the necessary permits.

Yes, it is essential to confirm that any tree service company you hire is properly insured before they begin work. Tree removal, trimming, and pruning are dangerous jobs, and proper insurance protects you, your home, and the company from liability in case of accidents or damage. Look for a company that carries both general liability and workers’ compensation insurance, and do not hire one that cannot provide proof of coverage. When browsing for professionals, you can look for indicators like an “Angi Approved” badge, which signifies that the business meets standards like holding applicable licenses and passing a background check. Keep in mind that a license is a legal requirement to operate, while certifications are typically voluntary.
