"Adam and his crew arrived right on time and described how he planned to perform the tree trimming then got to work. Completely satisfied with the results on both trees. Pricing was reasonable. Thoroughly cleaned work area when the job was complete. Highly recommend Adam for your arborist related projects."

Small jobs welcome

"Olaf and his team did an amazing job trimming 4 large trees and 1 large wall of hedges on my property. His price was fair, his team was efficient and respectful, and the overall experience was great end to end. We also received multiple compliments from neighbors on the end result. Would recommend their services to anyone."

"We recently had the opportunity to work with Brothers landscaping, I can't say enough positive things about them. Luis was very professional and helped us designed a wonderful backyard with a rose garden and a play area for the kids and an additional area where the dogs could do their business. Brothers landscape executed our vision perfectively. His crew was on time and keep their area very organized throughout the project. Luis gave me a completion date and finished on time and stayed on budget. If you're looking for a straightforward guy with straight forward pricing, look no further."

"Escobar's tree service did a great job helping us clean up our overgrown yard. They trimmed all the trees and shrubs, removed a tree stump in the front yard, pulled all the weeds, removed any dead foliage, blew the leaves away and took the extra time to brush out twigs and leaves that had made their way into our artificial turf. The owner was very responsive to our questions and quickly scheduled to come out only a couple days after meeting with him for the estimate. He came out with a 5-person crew who knocked out the work in a few hours and hauled everything away. I plan to use his services again in the future and highly recommend."

"The company responded to a quote request same day and had someone to look at the 9 very tall palm trees that we wanted cut down. He gave such a good price ( we had gotten quotes pre-Covid) so I hired them. They came the following week at the day we wanted. Their crew worked for 10-1/2 hrs straight. They had all the equipment so that no one was climbing the trees. There was such a mess I thought they wouldnâ t be able to finish same day but they did! They cleaned all the mess and put all the potted plants back in place. I am very pleased and have been recommending their company to friends."

"Sal and his crew provided excellent service. He shows a particular concern for the overall health of the tree, and uses his skill as a certified Arborist to assess where the tree is in its life cycle, what particular stresses or diseases it may be presently subject to, and recommends a course of action which is best for the tree's continued health and survival. He also pays particular care to any wildlife which might be nesting in the tree at the time.
I would recommend Sal's company (S & H Tree Service) to anyone and everyone. I will call no other man for the job, and intend to use him exclusively from now on.

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.

It’s not as common for Dutch elm disease to affect other types of trees, especially if the surrounding trees aren’t elms. However, it is possible for DED to spread to other trees, particularly in northern states, like Minnesota. In fact, it’s a good idea to use geography to identify wood and determine which types of trees are in your yard.

Unfortunately, the complex and shallow root system of elm trees makes surrounding elm trees particularly vulnerable to DED. Early discovery is key!

Transporting a fully-grown tree requires heavy equipment, typically specialized for the task. A tree spade is a truck-mounted tool that removes the tree from the ground in one location, transports it, and places it in a new hole in a new location. A combination of mechanized shovels and lifts is necessary to move very large trees, and the exact tools often depend on location and the surrounding area.

Peach trees don’t tend to live as long as other types of trees and crops. They tend to last only about 12 years, and you shouldn’t expect to see a full peach harvest each of those years, either. Young peach trees need a few years to get established before they produce fruit, but you should have plenty of peaches for your pies and cobblers during their mature years, around years four through eight.

No, homeowners insurance typically does not cover the cost of removing a dead, sick, or rotting tree that is still standing. Insurance is designed to protect against sudden and unexpected accidents, whereas a tree dying or rotting over time is considered a maintenance issue. Coverage usually only applies after a tree has fallen and caused damage to your property.
