"I called Alarm Protection Group AFTER my office was burglarized. Now I feel SAFE. William is great to work with. He's neat and tidy, prompt, presentable - not a butt-crack type of guy, and he doesn't leave a mess in his wake. He's also knowledgeable about the equipment and only uses high-quality products."

"Walter and Glen at Protect Your Home Group with ADT are the best people to talk to in terms of security alarm. Being a locksmith myself I know how important it is to deal with the right people. I referred a lot of customers to them and so far they are happy with their service. I myself got one for my house. Thank you for a consistent service and great deal."

"PLEASE. DO NOT HIRE KRISTINA AND JARED. We don't want to lose them. They are a delightful couple who have the hardworking, pride-in-doing-a-good-job that one sees too infrequently these days. They are smart, communicative, pay attention to detail and remember and honor special requests with great care. Somehow, they manage to combine these attributes with such an easy-going disposition that, despite our very private natures, we are quite comfortable with them in our home. They consistently make every effort to go above and beyond expectations while even taking moments here and there to interact with our granddaughter and dogs. They are so gracious they're actually amused when our dog attacks their mop. They make every effort to schedule timely service and are super responsive with returning calls/texts. We've had them help with special projects including washing windows, jambs and screens that hadn't been washed in the almost two years since we bought the house, plus who knows how many more years. Clean windows can make a house shine; the windows sparkled when they were done. As an added bonus, it was cute watching them work together on the windows--Kristina on the inside, Jared on the outside, pointing out spots to each other.
My husband is 100% disabled combat veteran and we are have our 10-month old granddaughter in our home. Jared is available to help with my "honey do" list, which is so incredibly valuable to me. The list is long, so for now we have just worked on prioritizing projects and starting with one thing at a time. I have a lot of remodeling experience and know that Jared has a solid understanding of the work required with each different project.  Further, I can see the same pride in doing a good job with regard to his handyman services.
So, please. Don't hire them. I really need them. And, I had them first.

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

Rekeying your own locks is a low-cost task that prevents you from having to replace the locks themselves completely. The first couple of times you rekey a lock may be challenging because this is an intermediate DIY task. You can purchase a rekey kit from most hardware stores, but make sure you’re buying the kit from the brand of lock in your home that you’re going to rekey.

If your door handle turns without opening, the most likely culprit is a loose or stripped spindle. This part connects the handles to the latch mechanism, and when it’s not properly engaged, turning the handle does nothing. Other issues might include a broken latch, loose screws, or even something small blocking an inner mechanism. In any case, it’s usually a matter of tightening, adjusting, or replacing a worn-out part inside the handle assembly—or calling in a professional to do it for you.

Yes, most pros encourage you to change your locks when you move into a new home. While the previous owner may hand you their keys, you have no way of knowing whether other copies exist elsewhere. Changing your locks as soon as you move in is a great way to ensure that you can enjoy new, fully functioning locks that will work with your unique key or code.

Typically, it can take around 15 minutes to rekey a lock. The time depends on the type of lock and how skilled you are at rekeying. The first time you rekey a lock, it may take a little longer. Once you get the hang of the process, it will move along much more quickly.

Begin by checking the power source, typically a battery or wired connection. Ensure the battery is installed correctly, has sufficient charge, and isn't corroded. If it's a wired lock, examine the electrical connections to confirm they are secure and free from damage. Additionally, inspect the lock's programming or settings. Confirm that user codes or access credentials are programmed correctly and that any remote control devices are paired and functional.
