- Shefer Builder INCUpdate: I was not paid to give a review and I did utilize and hire Shefer Builders for a total remodel. Remodeling can be stressful. So many decisions and expenses. We thought about it several years. We researched, planned, saved and interviewed several companies. We wanted a general contractor that could handle all our needs (one stop). We met with Yani of Shefer Builder twice. We shared our budget, our wants, and our concerns. It’s important you find someone you feel comfortable with and can have confidence in. It’s your home after all. He made us feel excited about the possibilities and his portfolio was extensive. He had loads of ideas and thoughtful ways and places we could make our dreams come true. We’d lived in our 1950s home for 20 years. Everything needed updating. From the roof down to new flooring, new windows, doors, outside stucco, and a gorgeous new open floor plan kitchen (removed a wall) and bathroom! We couldn’t be happier now! The end result is amazing. It looks like something in a magazine. Yet very livable. Yani helped with choosing wall colors, tile, flooring and fixtures. They built a new master walk-in closet with custom organizers. Added crown molding and pocket lights throughout and durable pretty flooring. During the process Yani stayed in touch constantly and sent pictures of the progress. If we had a question he was very responsive in returning a call or text. He stayed within our budget and even found places to save us money. We joke if we win the lotto we’ll have Shefer Builder back to add a second story. We’d be happy to provide more info

He was quick to respond if questions arose and he followed up throughout the process to make sure things were going well. Side-note: I recommend choosing your tile and coping early in the process so it can be ordered and ready to go. Our coping wasn’t in stock (no fault of Steve’s) but waiting for it to come in put a hold on our project for a bit. We are very happy with the end result and our family is enjoying the new pool! "We bought our house a year ago, and it had an older pool that had not been well maintained. We replaced the filter and got the pool water healthy again, but we knew that it was badly in need of new plaster, coping, tile and pump. Summer rolled around and we were really enjoying having a pool. Swimming, having pool parties, family with small children visiting and having fun. We decided to go ahead and look into getting it fixed up, so we could continue to enjoy it for years to come.
<br /> We got 4 estimates, and after speaking with each of the companies and reviewing the estimates, we settled on Aqua Gunite.
<br /> Our main point of contact was the salesperson Michael Hopkins. Mike was a pleasure to work with. He initially gave us great advice, a very complete and detailed estimate, a work schedule, and handled small change orders. His price was right on par with other companies (bit better than some, bit higher than others), but the quality of his guidance and thoroughness of the estimate ended up being deciding factors for us. Once work began, we spoke to Sharon at the office mostly about scheduling and she was great to work with as well.
<br /> We had a few small issues and delays. Some due to the time the city took to do inspections, which are obviously out of Aqua Gunite's control. The original 3 week estimate endued up taking around 7 weeks, but the crews were punctual, cleaned up nicely after the day's work, and whenever I was home I could see that they were very hard-working. The craftsmanship was superb on all of the work.
<br /> There was one minor mishap where a faucet was left on and quite a bit of water was wasted, but we worked it out with Michael and Sergio, the owner and they were very accommodating. And a couple of times where they did not let us know in a timely fashion that someone needed to be home for an inspection, which caused a bit of a scramble to make sure the inspections happened on time. We also would of liked a bit more of a heads up on what we as homeowners needed to take care of for inspections, such as self closing gates and door alarms.
<br /> In the end, our 35 year old pool looks brand new and the materials we picked with Michael's help and advice are all beautiful. We couldn't be happier with our old, new pool.

"HomeTech remodeled our kitchen and Master Suite in our newly purchased home. We cannot write enough words about how happy we are with the results. Moses and his team were a pleasure to work with. Everyone on the team was very professional in their field. Starting with the design, we received multiple great suggestions for the new kitchen layout and master suit which involved building small addition of ~100sf so we were able to accommodate “real” master bathroom and walking closet . We did go little over our original budget as we haven’t realized current cost of cabinets and stone and didn’t want compromised on quality and style but overall, the money was well spent .
