"Dan came out right away and gave an estimate on replacing our 2 car driveway. We decided to expand the side yard to make a 4 car driveway, and he accommodated the day of the start of work. Gave us an awesome price! He and his son were here 3 days, and finished everything. They are clean, professional and friendly. I would recommend Ultimate Concrete to anyone! They do other types of work as well. Thank you Dan!"

"We recently worked with Pantoja Engineering And Excavation, Inc. on a site development project, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. From start to finish, their team demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. Their crew was well-equipped and highly skilled, handling everything from grading and trenching to foundation prep with precision and efficiency. Communication throughout the project was clear and consistent, which made coordination smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find a contractor that combines technical expertise with such a strong work ethic and integrity. We highly recommend Pantoja Engineering And Excavation, Inc. to anyone in need of excavation or engineering services and look forward to partnering with them again on future projects."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

To drill a shallow well, you may be able to use a drive well point. This is a tapered point that is driven into the ground. A drill bit at the end of PVC pipe may be another option to consider. A lot of the cost depends on what tools are available near you.

Most states do not require excavation companies to hold specific licenses, but many require at least a contractor’s license. Additionally, heavy equipment operators require a special commercial equipment license to operate machinery required for excavation. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing tool to confirm that an excavation company you’re considering hiring is fully licensed. You should also make sure that the excavation team is fully insured before allowing them to work on your property.

Skunk digging looks like a series of small, cone-shaped holes on a lawn or around the perimeter of a home, porch, deck, or shed. The holes that skunks dig when searching for grubs tend to be no more than four inches in diameter and may be up to four inches deep.

No, you typically cannot use metal detectors to find your sewer line. Most sewer lines are made of non-metallic materials such as PVC, clay, or cast iron, which are not detectable by standard metal detectors. Metal detectors are designed to locate metallic objects, so they won't be effective for identifying the path of a non-metallic sewer line. To locate your sewer line accurately, it's best to use other methods.

Almost any kind of home can have a wine cellar or cabinet installed. You’ll need an area where a concrete floor can be put in, along with the necessary insulation, climate control, and ventilation systems. If you think of yourself as an aspiring sommelier, an underground wine cellar may be ideal, but it will cost significantly more.

What you choose to install really depends on your budget and how many bottles you’re looking to store.
