I built a new home in 2008, and since then my AC unit has taken multiple electricity hits (we have bad power in 29 Palms). In August 2012, we lost the condenser, and I filed a claim with my home warranty company, they sent out someone who claimed there was water damage to the unit (even though we live in a new home and there was no sign of water anywhere around), the home warranty company dis-allowed the claim. Gene and Randee jumped in, sent for the warrantied part, and had us up and running again in a matter of days. They also provided proof that there was no water damage to the unit, and I was able to get a partial reimbursement from my home warranty company. For that, I thank them. Last year, I decided to purchase a Bonaire-Durango swamp cooler, and Nelson's installed it, running water lines and securing it in the window. This was a recommendation by Gene Nelson, and it cut my electricity bill by $200.00 over the summer months. It meant I could shut-down the AC unit, and run the swamp cooler during the 115 degree heat. I would, and do recommend them to friends. However, this moderate pricing only included 2 coats of polyurethane (the less expensive floor guy would apply 4 coats, but he was busy during the time we needed him); this was not acceptable to us, especially since the douglas fir is a soft wood and I felt it needed at least 3 coats for added protection. He resisted doing so at no extra cost, but said that since he was between jobs and had the time to take the project on, he was willing to do the 3rd coat of finish. They (Jon and an assistant) were pretty punctual in their arrival times and started the job promptly. Personality-wise, his attitude was not the friendliest -- could have been nicer or more easygoing about some things. For example, he said that one payment (deposit) was due up front, and then half of the remainder due at staining and the other half upon completion of project. When he came to do the staining, I didn't have the check waiting for him (I had to head to work before he could arrive) and he got angry about that -- it was ambiguous to me, because I didn't know "at staining" meant "prior to staining", I thought it meant during or after the staining process. There was a hiccup in the process at one point when our heat turned off and thus they could not continue because the temperature wasn't hot enough to finish the overnight process -- this was our fault because we hadn't checked propane levels and ran out of propane prior to the project. We had to wait several days to get a refill, and this made timing stressful because we were scheduled to move our furniture in and the work would have to be done on a weekend, which Jon said he was not available for; thus he charged us extra to have his assistant do the final poly coat alone. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the quality of work: the sanding job was very good (even and not too deep, minimal scuff marks around the baseboards), and he worked diligently with us to make sure we had just the right stains we wanted before applying them (lots of test-stain areas, and he was able to custom blend existing stains into a ratio that worked for us); the yellow pine turned out a bit lighter than I had expected based on the test stain, so that was disappointing at first, but it still looked good and I have grown to love it. The only issues we had were that (a) they wouldn't refinish the kitchen floor (which needed it the most) because he said it was simply too thin/unstable already. My father-in-law, who is a subcontractor, didn't seem to agree with this, but who knows... it was disappointing either way to not be able to fix the most scuffed up area of the house (but no, we were not charged for the area they didn't do); (b) There is an uneven area of polyurethane -- a small "puddle" where it seemed to pool up next to a slightly-exposed (uncoated -- or only coated once or twice, not the third time) in the final coat that was applied by Jon's assistant. This is disappointing because it's really the only blemish in otherwise great-looking (I guess you could say "astonishing") floors. Fortunately it is only noticeable under certain lighting angles, but still a shame. I doubt this would have happened if Jon had done it himself. I would give an A or A- (because of the blemish) for work quality, a B for price (not the cheapest, not the most expensive -- but he knew that and told me upfront when he quoted the cost), but I would give a B- or C+ for professionalism... he could do a better job with communication and general attitude toward things. Overall, a B or B+ job. Would we use Astonishing Hardwood Floors / Jon Iacampo again? The answer is... maybe (but not if he charges his full rate for only 2 coats of finish)"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ca/napa/astonishing-hardwood-floors-reviews-7399223.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Innovative Mechanical","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"CA","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Rosa L."},"reviewBody":"They were the best that I could find. They were incredible and I can refer them. They came in and installed the heating and air-conditioning system, so they replaced the existing one and they put an entire new system that included everything like the vent, all of the piping and what not. I don’t remember how much I paid; I just knew it was incredibly comparable, compared to the pricing everywhere around the area. They also have a certificate and they don’t know what it is for, but it is something regarding going green, so they are environment friendly which appealed to me. They were professional. The job was done quickly, and it was done incredibly fast. They are very thorough. They didn’t leave the foot print in my home, and I currently deal with white carpets. It wasn’t as cheap as other companies were, but they were going green company, so they had that in their favor. They were here in no time at all, and they were here within the week that I called them because I needed the air conditioning. They were punctual, and I wasn’t even given a 2 hour gap. They said we will be at your home at 9 and they were here at 9 and it is hard to find it in any companies. I met 2 different gentlemen and my husband wasn’t at home and they were incredibly respectful and professional. So I felt at ease with their company and they were just thorough at their work. They do a thorough check, on a yearly basis."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ca/belmont/innovative-mechanical-reviews-452698.htm"},"position":10}]}

"Elsy ( I believe she was the plumber from your company via Angi) arrived as scheduled, on Saturday, 09/28/2024. She attempted to repair my garbage disposal unit but was unable to do so as the unit's wiring was worn out. I advised the unit is 40 yrs old. She recommended to purchase a new one. We made a trip together to the local Home Depot store and I purchased the same brand s she recommended. She installed it in record time (within the 2.5 hrs) and completed the job. She also cleaned the work space and carried the old one to my recycling bin. Very satisfied with her work. Also, I want to know if I will receive a billing statement for my records? Thank you for your time & assistance."

FAQs for heating oil service projects in Saint Helena, CA
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
