"First he quoted for cleaning duct only that cheaper than other. When inspecting the furnace, it needed to be deep clean. Because the duct clean work had started I want to continue with the furnace deep clean. The total cost was higher than one of the quote that will do same job. It is my fault that I didn't ask everything in front. But they did good job as promised."

"Jonathan is professional, courteous, and thorough. Easily accommodated my schedule. Washed all windows, including small ones in basement and in garage, and doors. Left areas clean and windows sparkling! Would definitely hire him again and recommend him without reservation."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

To clean a trash can with maggots, combine chlorine bleach and hot water in a 1-to-1 ratio and pour about half a gallon of the solution into the bottom of your garbage can. Just make sure there aren’t holes in the can before doing so. Close the lid, and let the fumes go to work to kill the maggots. Rinse the can with a hose outside. Consider finishing up with a bleach disinfectant and a scrub brush before letting the can dry completely. You can also consider hiring an exterminator near you for a quick, easy solution to maggots in your garbage cans.

Kitchen towels should be washed after significant use or every week in order to prevent food-borne illnesses. The rules are somewhat less strict for bathroom towels, but they should still be washed frequently, around every 3 to 5 days to help avoid any build-up of bacteria. Other recommendations say bathroom towels should be washed after every three uses.

Black faucets aren’t difficult to clean, but keeping them clean may be challenging. Dirt, dust, toothpaste, and water spots may show up on the faucet, but a quick wipe with a damp cloth will bring the finish back to its original beauty. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes as they could scratch the finish.

If you avoid deep cleaning, it can lead to a slew of issues for your health and home. Mold and mildew can grow in damp areas of the home, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms, which can cause allergic reactions and even structural damage to your house. A buildup of grime and dirt can allow bacteria and germs to thrive. A dirty home can also attract pests such as cockroaches, ants, and rodents.

The average house cleaner cost is around $180, which should cover about four hours of work. However, each project is different and costs can range from $100 to $1,000, depending on the house size and the cleaning needed. Other cost factors can include your location and what level of cleaning you want. Standard or basic cleaning may include vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting the kitchen and bathrooms. Deep cleaning costs about twice as much and often includes cleaning behind and underneath furniture, washing windows, and polishing hard-to-clean surfaces. Emergency cleaning, extreme cleaning, and holidays also impact pricing. Move-in and move-out cleaning typically cost more, too, because of the extensive, whole-house cleaning involved.
