"Went above & beyond in service. Got the Furnace replaced, brought space heaters for the occupants, Got it done quickly & left no mess. Redid the duct work and worked well with the occupant. Thought this type of service did not exist anymore. Was pleased how quickly Furnace was replaced ."

"Was selling my apartment and wanted to service heater prior to listing. Moore provided great technicians who tried everything they could to reset and fix some mechanical issues. Provided lots of info and updates while they worked, showed me everything they were doing, where problems were, etc. In the end, the heater was too far gone and a whole replacement was recommended. Moore was able to schedule the replacement within a week. Whole project was completed in 4.5 hours and came in under their initial estimate. 10/10 would recommend them to all friends and family."

Water Heaters questions, answered by experts

No, you’ll need to drain the tank before changing a water heater element, as the water heater element sticks through the side of the tank and uses a gasket to prevent water from pouring out. However, you don’t always need to drain it completely. If you’re only replacing the upper heating element, you can drain the tank until the water line is below the element. If you’re replacing the lower element, you’ll need to drain the whole thing.

Replacing facilitates energy savings, decreases repair frequency, and aligns with modern safety regulations, maximizing safety.

Signs your electric water heater is failing include inconsistent water temperature, reduced hot water supply, longer heating times, or discolored water (rusty or cloudy). Unusual noises like popping or rumbling suggest sediment buildup, while leaks or corrosion around the tank signal structural damage. If your unit is over 10 to 15 years old and experiencing frequent issues, it may be time to replace it.

Heat pump water heaters, also known as hybrid water heaters, are the most efficient types of water heaters—both in terms of carbon emission and energy efficiency. This type of water heater utilizes as little as half of the energy of a traditional water heater while releasing no direct emissions. Tankless water heaters are also extremely efficient, although slightly less so than hybrid heaters.

Typically, only a high-efficiency water heater with an inducer fan can be vented outside the house. Otherwise, your water heater needs to be installed on the inside and vented through the roof. However, certain areas may allow a standard-efficiency water heater to be vented outside. Check your local building codes to be sure.
