"Mr. Alfaro has done yard work for me in the past, most recently a few days ago.  He is an excellent gardener who always shows up on time, does a great job and  thoroughly  cleans up all the debris  before he leaves.  I have lived in my house for many years and have never had a better gardener."

"Very accommodating to our schedule. Friendly but above all professional. Yard looked better than expected, really above and beyond. Compared to the last people we hired, him and one other guy did more work than 4 people. I really just can’t say enough good things about him. Will hire him again if needed."

"The first person came to do this job but left many pieces out of the installation. He did such a poor job of mounting the 55" TV that it began leaning lopsided! Gilbert came to undo all the first person messed up. Gilbert assembled and mounted my 55 inch TV on a large stand that he had to put together again correctly after taking down the awful job done by Diego. Gilbert had no problem with the complex instructions and did a fine job even going out to get screws that had been inserted incorrectly. Gilbert was professional and worked quickly. I would use him again without hesitation."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Mulching leaves with a lawn mower is a great way to reap the benefits of leaf nutrients composting into your lawn without the leaves covering too much of your grass.

Yes, you can absolutely make your own mulch, and there are a few ways to go about it. First, you can lay down pine needles or mulched leaves if you’re mulching in the fall. In the spring and summer, you can use mulched grass clippings. Alternatively, you can lay down a few layers of newspaper in your garden and gently wet the paper to keep it in place.

Using a leaf blower is often the easiest way to pick up leaves. It quickly and efficiently gathers leaves into manageable piles, requiring less physical effort than manual raking. Additionally, you can choose to bag the collected leaves or use a mulching mower to break them down into natural mulch, simplifying the cleanup process further.

No, you cannot throw branches from your neighbor’s tree back into their yard, nor can you discard leaves or other plant matter that originated from their yard back over there if it happens to land in your yard. You are responsible for cleaning up plant matter that made its way into your yard.

Dawn dish soap is typically too abrasive to use on plants, even when diluted with water. The soap contains detergents that can strip away a plant's natural waxes and oils, which are there to protect the leaves.

Should you decide to make your own soap spray insecticide, it's important to choose a gentle soap that doesn't contain detergents or surfactants. Castile soap, such as Dr. Bronner’s, is a good pick.
