"The work needed to repair my window was suggested to another company. Brothers Home Improvement went in detail of their services but highly suggested another company as the damage to my window could be repaired by just replacing the glass and not the entire window frame. They helped save me a lot with this suggestion and suggested a really good company who was able to repair our window. Very professional and informative."

"Very professional. AMG replaced my back sliding patio door from aluminum to a beautiful new Millard. They made sure that I knew I would have to hire a painter for the exterior and interior wood work I will use them again for a new front door in the coming months. Thanks AMG!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Robert was quick to respond and very helpful. He provided guidance and answered a lot of questions before even coming out to ensure the glass we purchased would work. He ended up coming out twice because of an issue with the glass we purchased but was able to complete the job. Our shower looks beautiful and we are very thankful for him. Heâ s not the chattiest man but does great work and followed covid guidelines. We would recommend!"

"They were awesome. We received the written estimate within the promised time and the work was done very well. They installed a threshold as well that we didn't even think to ask for.
It was going to rain the day of the work so they arranged to come back another day to finish up with the painting so it would dry properly.
They cleaned up very well. I was at work and my wife was home during the work. She felt comfortable and I would use them again with no reservations.

"Josh did a great job on my roofing repair! He showed up when he said he would, and the roof looks great! He also installed some replacement skylights and siding. He sent many pics of the job as I wasn’t able to be there when the work was performed. I will definitely use him again."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Distilled white vinegar removes stickers from glass by breaking down the adhesive with its acidic qualities. You can apply the vinegar to the area with a sponge or cleaning cloth. Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, and then scrape the area with a plastic scraper or the edge of a credit card.

Yes, WD-40 can remove stickers from glass thanks to its chemical properties that can break down adhesives. Be sure to wear protective gloves when handling WD-40. Spray the window or glass item, and let it sit for 10 minutes before scraping it with a plastic scraper or credit card.

While wavy glass is sometimes called antique glass or restoration glass due to the fact that it's found exclusively in older homes, the proper names for wavy glass are actually crown glass and cylinder glass. Most commonly used for circular or portal windows, crown glass was created by manufacturers using a process of blowing and spinning. Meanwhile, cylinder glass was used more commonly because it created large square sheets that could be shaped to fit windows of all shapes and sizes.

The cost to remove a mirrored wall from your home ranges between $100 and $3,300, though the average price is only $500. You can save money by doing it yourself, but make sure you have safety equipment such as goggles and gloves, as well as the proper tools (drywall knife, wire saw, and a plastic sheet or tarp to cover the floor).

A common way to modernize arched windows is to install interior window treatments that allow light through the curved portion up to and let you cover the bottom portion for privacy. You can also install plantation shutters to make an arched window look more modern. From the exterior, arched windows can appear outdated if they’re coupled with ornate trim, so toning down the decor can make your window look more natural with a modern design.
