"He showed up to assess the job. We agreed on a price. He told me he was busy for a month so I waited. The day before the job he messaged me to send him more than half up front or he wasn?t coming. He never mentioned advanced payment. I said I wasn?t comfortable but would certainly pay him as agreed for the job. He told me he wasn?t coming if I didn?t send him money first. For a handyman? Leave me waiting for a month then demand payment up front before doing one minute of work? Totally unprofessional!!! Time waster!"

"I regret hiring this ?pro? from Angi?s list. He had two tasks: replace a leaky hose bib and replace a gate lock. He arrived two hours late each day he was to work, and gave multiple excuses before, during, and after on why he couldn?t do these two tasks. He cut into the stucco wall of the house because he claimed he needed to add a copper extension for the hose bib, but days later, both the new hose bib and the pipe extension blew off when we tried to use the hose again for the first time because he didn?t solder. We had to rehire another plumber to redo the work (without a pipe extension) for HALF the price. He replaced the deadbolt on the gate, but did nothing to fix the guide hole into which it goes into since he didn?t have the tools. He shouldn?t take on jobs without the right tools. His pricing was ridiculous. He gave a partial refund, but I?m out $125 for just a shoddy gate lock and having to pay another plumber to redo his work. Even the cement patchwork he did was cracked."

"In the past I had excellent luck with them, but the last two jobs have been barely acceptable. First call was for range hood - the first person they sent out tried to do it alone and botched the job pretty badly. Followup crew did an excellent job doing it correctly. For the security door install I mentioned my most recent experience, and nicely but strongly asked them not to send the person that botched the range hood job. Then they sent that same person out. This person wanted to reverse the door swing to avoid banging front door and security door handles, but reluctantly installed it in the standard orientation after I told them I'd just get new knobs for the security door with enough clearance. The initial install on the door was badly skewed to the point where the security door was sticking on the bottom plate.. they said, that would be a good way to keep the door from swinging open unexpectedly. That was not what I wanted, so he banged on the frame for awhile and _barely_ got it so it didn't catch on the bottom plate. of course I figured since it's a wood door frame in a stucco building, there might not be enough clearance when the weather changed humidity. Sure enough that's what happened, but by that time I was too frustrated to have them come back _again_. So now the door stick enough that it bangs a bit when you close it, but that's not the end of the world."
