"Jose came to give us an estimate in one day and his crew completed the work the next day. We had a few estimates and P & J was the best price. Another company told us they were booking a month out. P & J did our job the next day. Prompt, courteous service and they didn’t leave any mess. Very pleased with how nice our trees look and we will have less falling leaves to clean up this Fall."

"Green Lane was very reliable and professional. Franklin was very knowledgeable and we appreciated how he came to check in on the team during the service. In total they took care of 8 trees including a removal, done speedily and no mess left behind. Will be working with them again for any and all of our future tree related needs."

Customers say: Quality work

"No more than 5 minutes after I had submitted an inquiry to Horticultural Services, I was contacted by Chris. From the moment I spoke to him I could tell he was a professional. Him and his team showed up precisely on time, and took the utmost care in trimming large overhanging branches. The quality of work, timeliness, communication, and professionalism were impressive enough to encourage this review. They also are very fair with their cost and services. I would highly recommend Horticultural Services, and Chris, to anyone who needs tree or yard service. They will be my first, and only call for my future needs moving forward."

"Brian Lozano of Lozano Tree Care did a great job! He was referred to me by a girlfriend who lives just a few blocks away. Evidently, Lozano Tree Care had done several properties on her street, too. Brian was very communicative. I needed about a 60 ' +/- tree removed and then get the stump removed also. He and his crew were great. Worked so hard, nice guys and cleaned up the property to the 'T'! His price was more than competitive. I've been referring them to friends ever since and will be happy to continue to do so. They were great!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

No, you cannot throw branches from your neighbor’s tree back into their yard, nor can you discard leaves or other plant matter that originated from their yard back over there if it happens to land in your yard. You are responsible for cleaning up plant matter that made its way into your yard.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.

Tree removal costs typically don’t include stump removal, as that technically falls into a different service. The company you hire may offer the service for an additional fee; ask them if they offer it to ensure you get the best tree stump removal costs possible.

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines. Tree roots can cause extreme havoc on your sewer lines, potentially cracking them and causing untreated wastewater to make its way into the groundwater. Have a landscaping pro remove trees and roots before installing your system, or call a pro to do it retroactively as soon as you can.

Only trim palm trees as needed, which is usually about once per year. However, don't stick to that schedule if the palm tree doesn't need it. Avoid trimming palm trees when possible. It’s best to trim palm trees only when you notice a buildup of dead fronds. That said, leave the brown fronds during the dormant season because this organic matter helps protect the tree from the cooler weather.
