"Nice people, they claim to give a lifetime warranty including resealing seems or any problem at all. They showed up as scheduled, took a bit longer than expected. I was very happy with the way it looked when they were finished. Im still happy with the way it looks. After they left I noticed they had drilled a hole in my concrete walkway and pounded in rebar to mount a gate post but they didn’t plan it right and I believe they called the owner out who decided to put the post in a more suitable place. Unfortunately the cracked concrete with a flush cut piece off rusty rebar remains as an eyesore. After a month or two the gate post on the opposite side began pulling out of the stucco on the side of my garage. I took it apart to find they used cheep plastic anchors so i just went and replaced them with metal concrete anchors myself so its never coming out again. I figured despite the warranty id just get it done. Fast forward to present June 2019 and i noticed that 2 of the base plates of the fence are not fastened to the concrete on one end allowing them to swivel out of place when the neighbors gardener does yard work it pushes them out of place. I contacted Sonrise and was given a date two weeks away that they would show up but they could not give a time. Sounds stupid but fortunately I’m retired and can sit home all day waiting for them to show up because hey what else do i need to do right? never showed up. I emailed again and the Forman called and apologized said he’d be out the following Friday. Never called never showed up. I emailed again and its been a week and a half with no response. so much for that lifetime warranty. I am really happy with the way the fence looks but cutting corners on simple stuff has me a bit confused because when you say lifetime warranty to fix ANYTHING wrong. Well you’d expect no short cuts because then you’d have to come fix the problems ... Unless... you have no plans to fix anything at all. I don’t care to write a review like this but when you jerk a customer around then just ignore them what else is left to do?"

"John designed and delivered a great fence, functional, practical and aesthetically appealing. He step up to do the job and took another step forward to problem solve issues we had not foreseen in a practical and effective manner. He is a professional and pleasure to work with."

"Replaced existing wooden privacy fences.  One section was approx. 9 feet on one side of my home and the other section measured approx. 43 feet that separates my property from my neighbors.  Received 5 estimates and HD Fence's quote came in about mid-range of all of them.  Went with HD Fence, because Joan and Allen are great people to work with.  Joan was very prompt and courteous when she returned my call.  She was able to pull my old estimate even though 8 months had passed.
Allen is very knowledgeable and he even comes out and does a portion of the work, which is a plus to know that the owner not only oversees the work, but he's not afraid to get his hands dirty.
One other note - Joan and Allen both were able to ease my neighbors concerns and answer all his questions with the section of fence that separates our properties. Because I live in an HOA community, the fence had to meet certain requirements.
Only bummer was that they do not offer painting services for the fence.  Not a big deal because most of the other companies I spoke with DO NOT offer painting services as well.
Would highly recommend contacting HD Fence for any fence work you may need.

"They did a really great job. The flooring was really good, there were a few problems they had to work around with water damage from an old freezer. Then even put in a little ramp from the kitchen leading into the family room. They enclosed patio was much better than I anticipated. There was some additional work needed becuase the previous one wasn't fully attached to the house. I am very happy with the results."

"We had a moisture problem at our rental properly and wanted to have a professional take a look get it resolved. Anthony came recommended to us from a coworker as someone who did high quality work and could tackle just about any job no matter how small or large. He was very responsive when we reached out to him and spent plenty of time discussing the possible causes and solutions to our problem. He was punctual and professional as we met with the tenants to investigate the problem. It appeared that poor drainage around the house was contributing to the problem. He had his concrete crew come in to fill the problem area and they did a great job matching the existing work. After that good experience we gave Anthony a list of projects we were interested in having done at our home. He came out and thoroughly went through every item on our punch list to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted to have done. One think I really liked about him was his willingness to spend time advising us and discussing our plans and concerns. We purchased the large items (toilets and water heater) at a home improvement store and Anthony picked them up for us. Other items, like the fireplace burner and colored caulk, he provided us suggestions and samples. We had told him that we were not in a hurry and he was free to schedule our work around other clients. He focused on our project and we were never bumped due to another of his clients. Other than an out of stock item, there were no delays to our project. He is the kind of guy you can trust with the key to your home and know that you'll come home to good progress and a clean work area. Anthony stayed in close contact as the work progressed providing thorough status updates on a daily basis. We were always impressed as we came home from work to see what had been accomplished that day. There was one toilet that gave him some grief due to some previous remodel work done years ago that wasn't quite up to par. Other then that his time estimates were very accurate. We were definitely pleased with his work, his price was fair, and we will use him again for future projects. After all the work had been completed, we had a problem with the thermocouple on the fireplace burner (not related to the installation). Without hesitation Anthony offered to come out to resolve the issue."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Who pays for a new fence between neighbors depends on its location relative to the property line. If you build the fence entirely on your property, you are solely responsible for the costs of installation, maintenance, and repair. If the fence is built directly on the property line, both neighbors are typically responsible for the costs. In this case, it is essential to consult with your neighbor beforehand to agree on a plan for payment. While you should always inform your neighbor of your plans in advance, you generally cannot force them to contribute financially unless there are specific local laws, such as in California, where both parties might be responsible for costs unless a different agreement exists. It's a good idea to get a property line survey to know the exact boundaries before building.

Some types of snow fences may work for keeping Fido in your yard. The openings can be small enough to prevent a dog from escaping. However, you want to make sure the openings aren’t susceptible for them to get stuck. While some types may contain the pup, the fence will require regular inspection and maintenance. It’s best to discuss which type of snow fence is ideal for your needs with a pro.

The bottom strand should sit between 12 to 15 inches from the ground. If you have a problem with small critters, you can aim for 8 inches. Three-strand fences should be 16 to 19 inches apart, four-strand fences should be 10 to 12 inches apart, and five-strand fences should be 8 and 10 inches apart.

In most cases, installing a vinyl fence will increase your property value. Not only do buyers typically like the appearance of vinyl fences, but they will also recognize that it adds security and privacy to your home and yard, which can also mean greater peace of mind and enjoyment of the space. Vinyl fences can also improve your home’s curb appeal, attracting more buyers and potentially offering more for your home.

To choose where to add a fence gate, know where fence gates shouldn’t go. For example, you should avoid placing gates over low spots on the ground where water can collect and form muddy puddles. Many ranchers install gates at the corner of a fence. Certain gate placements may also be required depending on the type of gate latch you use.
