"Great! From the first estimate to project completion, everyone was professional, courteous, respectful of our home and determined to provide the highest quality of service. As we reached each new phase of our remodel we invited them back out to tackle new projects with the same excellent result each time. Will defiantly call them again for any future needs."

"Jose’s Painting Co. crew was on-time, all the time and did a great job! Truly professional and do impeccable prep-work. They are detail oriented and clean-up after they finish each day. Their prices are fair and their work is solid. Good attitude and customer service! Jose came out to give an estimate and we had one by the end of the day. Would definitely use them again! Happy customers! Thank you, Jose and Jose!"

"I don't usually say this, but their work was perfect! Suggestions were very helpful and we are extremely happy with the outcome. We will use Secor painting in the future for all of of our painting needs. We needed a stairwell bannister and railings redone to match new flooring. We were informed about new processes which were much less expensive than sanding and refinishing. The end result looks like it was sanded and refinished. Pretty unbelievable."

"Berger's Painting provided exceptional service! They painted the entire interior of my home in 5 days - faster than expected. I gave the painting crew additional jobs to do and they did it beautifully, without complaint. The work crew was on time, friendly, professional, and did an excellent job. Bob Berger called me regularly to make sure that I was happy with their work. Their price was definitely reasonable. I would use them again!"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

You can concrete can be done when it’s wet or dry. However, it’s safer when wet, as harmful dust and chemicals are present. Sanding it when dry is faster, but you’ll agitate more dust and chemicals, meaning you’ll need to be more careful.

If you’re DIYing the project, it could take up to a week if you aren’t able to dedicate full-time hours. If you hire a professional and they arrive with a team, expect your stairs to be sanded in as little as 2 hours (for simple projects). Finishing the stairs takes a while longer as there are drying and sealing times to consider, but the actual work will take much less time than the sanding portion.

The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.

Soda-blasting systems are slightly more expensive than sandblasting systems. To soda blast, you’ll need to spend a few hundred dollars for a blast hose and nozzle, a compressed air supply, a blast generator, a moisture decontamination system, and sodium bicarbonate media, a recurring cost because the powder is not reusable. To start with sandblasting, you will need to spend upwards of $30 for a blast pot, a blast gun, an air compressor, and sandblasting media, many of which are recyclable—further reducing the cost. The total cost for either will depend on the size of the system.

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.
