"Excellent service and very professional. Trimmed trees and removed a huge cypress bush in a timely manner. Cleaned up the area where they worked and everything was hauled away. I would definately recommend this business and will use them in the future."

"They trimmed off the dead branches of several tall pine trees and removed some dangerous oak branches, as well as cut down 3 dead oak trees. They even moved my gazebo to a safe location before cutting the oak branches above. They were very contiencous and did it all in a day."

"His price is competitive with "All" the licenses you need for someone to be on your property. My renters were very happy with his communication during the job and their yards were cleaner when done then before he started. No problem bringing him back for more work later..."

"This was a tough job. Had to negotiate both power lines and roof of the house. Limbs were hanging over both. Limbs were taken down professionally and with amazing precision. A job well done by an honest and reliable Company. Have already recommended to friends. Highly recommend this company!"

"We called on Friday asking for a quote. Had the estimate Saturday. Called Monday to hire them. They were here Wednesday morning working on our tress. They would have started on Tuesday, but we had a prior engagement. They were wrapped up before 11am on Thursday... I can’t even tell where the huge trees were. Also, they blew my roof off which is so appreciated. It was a pleasure working with Olga and Martin."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.

Any cutting of tree roots can hurt or kill a tree, which is why it's recommended you don’t do it unless the roots are damaging or invasive on a nearby structure like your home. You should never cut more than 15 percent of above-ground tree roots at one time. If you have any questions about cutting tree roots, contact your local arborist.

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but it is generally not recommended unless specific conditions are met. You should only consider this project if the tree is small (e.g., under 4-5 inches in diameter and short enough that you don't need a ladder to reach the branches), and you are experienced in handling a chainsaw. The tree must also be located far from any power lines, fences, homes, or other structures. Even for small trees, the work can be dangerous, and it's always advisable to have a spotter to ensure the tree falls correctly and no branches fall on you.

For any tree that is large, requires a ladder to access, or is near electrical lines or structures, you should always hire a professional. Attempting to remove a large tree yourself is extremely dangerous, poses a risk of serious injury, and could result in significant damage to your property.

Before any tree removal, it's also important to check your local and state regulations to ensure the tree is not historic or otherwise protected by your city.

While the trees in your backyard are good for the environment and look beautiful, they could present a danger to your home under the wrong circumstances. This task is typically beyond the capabilities of the average homeowner due to its dangerous nature, so it’s best to leave this task to a professional. In some cities, it’s even illegal to remove a tree yourself.

Palm trees are unique in that their roots don't grow straight down; they grow horizontally. Typically, palm tree roots go down between 12 and 36 inches deep. The roots grow far and wide from the base of the palm tree to absorb as much water and soil nutrients as possible. In addition, the horizontal roots are also very strong—keeping palm trees stable and helping them sway during storms.
