"Jose and his crew did a fantastic job by trimming a cabinet and making room for a new fridge, without having to be overly invasive or replace the cabinet above the fridge. He was prompt, professional and friendly. Hire this man."

"I hired Jerry of D & G Construction to reface my kitchen and bathroom cabinets after receiving estimates from Reborn Cabinets, Home Depot, and Jerry. Jerry came out promptly and was very knowledgeable and friendly offering useful suggestions. Not only was his bid lower than the other two, he used solid wood for the doors and drawer fronts as opposed to thermofoil. Also Home Depot stated they could not start the job for at least another 3 months. Jerry completed my whole job in under 6 weeks! His crew was polite and punctual. The cabinets received multilayers of paint that gave them a beautiful smooth finish. He also arranged to have my quartz countertop installed and tiled my back splash My kitchen turned out better than I expected. I highly recommend Jerry and his crew for the superb work they did."

Customers say: Quick response

"I had 4 kitchen cabinets that needed to be repaired and rebuilt due to water/mold issues. Arnulfo gave a fair price, kept to the schedule, and finished on time. Cabinets blend in seamlessly with the rest of the kitchen. I would hire him again for any similar project."

Pre Made Cabinets questions, answered by experts

For safety when installing a vanity, attaching the vanity to the wall is ideal to prevent it from moving. Typically, sinks must be 4 inches away from bathtubs. Also, most states require that you have 21 inches in front of a sink, but the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) recommends 30 inches for more comfort.

In a kitchen installation, starting with the foundation and structural elements before moving on to the finishing touches is essential. Framing, plumbing, and utilities should go first, followed by cabinetry and countertops, then plumbing fixtures and new appliances. Flooring, paint, tile backsplashes, and similar finishing touches should get installed last.

It is generally more cost-effective to purchase stock or semi-custom cabinets than to have them custom-built. The best option depends on your budget and customization needs.

Here is a breakdown of the average costs per linear foot:

  • Custom Cabinets: $500 to $1,200. The final price is influenced by factors like materials, size, and design complexity. For example, a basic slab cabinet door might cost $60 to $70 for materials, while a more intricate mullioned glass inset panel door can range from $100 to $200 per door.

  • Semi-Custom Cabinets: $150 to $700.

  • Stock Cabinets: $100 to $400. These are pre-built and the most affordable option, but they offer limited customization and may not be suitable for rooms with unusual shapes or high ceilings.

Building a bathroom cabinet can be cheaper than buying one, especially if you have woodworking skills and tools. The cost of materials can be less than that of a premade cabinet. However, buying a ready-made cabinet might be more convenient and cost-effective if you factor in your time and effort. Custom-built cabinets offer more flexibility in design and materials, while pre-made options provide ease and faster installation.

There are some tips when hiring a cabinet installer that’ll help prepare you to create a new space. When installing new cabinets, keep the following in mind:

  • Hire the same cabinet installer professional to measure, design, and install the cabinets, as opposed to jumping between companies.

  • Discuss what types of cabinets the installer offers, including stock, semi-custom, and custom, to give yourself options.

  • Discuss financing options with your installer, as this project can be expensive depending on your chosen cabinets.

  • Discuss your cabinet installer’s prior experience, including asking for photos of previous projects.
