"Over the past 11 months, we've interviewed and received numerous quotes on our landscaping needs. For example, some of these "fly by night" vendors didn't show up to the appointment, some didn't clarify job scope or felt more like a salesmen, and one asking for down payment before they start a job. ...sound familiar? EcOrganic Landscaping not only provided a competitive bid, I was thoroughly impressed by their quality of work, on-going transparency, and professionalism. Their contracts are clearly defined, and straightforward...no hidden games and/or any sense of fraud. The company is insured and licensed which brings additional comfort. I know we all have many choices when shopping for landscaping needs, but it was very important for me to focus on quality, honesty, professionalism, and reliability. I truly believe EcOrganic Landscaping has met all 4 of my expectations and am entering a monthly maintenance contract with them as well. If you've already invested 5 minutes to read this review, I would recommend investing a few more minutes in giving them a call and making your own assessment. I worked with a gentlemen named Mario. Respectfully, Sam from OC"

"My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with Lucas from Oasis Turf and Hardscape, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From start to finish, Lucas provided exceptional service, demonstrating his thorough knowledge of the various turf styles available to suit our specific needs. Lucas took the time to explain the entire process of installing turf at our home, ensuring that we understood each step and making recommendations based on our preferences. His expertise and attention to detail gave us confidence in our decision to move forward with the project. Communication with Lucas and the team at Oasis Turf and Hardscape was outstanding throughout the entire process. We were impressed by their responsiveness and their ability to address any questions or concerns we had promptly. Their professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction truly set them apart. When it came time for the turf installation, we were equally impressed with the crew's professionalism and punctuality. They arrived on time and efficiently transformed our yard into a beautiful oasis. The crew worked diligently, paying close attention to detail to ensure a flawless installation. The results exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be happier with our new turf. Customers say: True professional

"My project went great and I am very pleased. There was a lot of vegetation to trim up, clean up, pick up and my yard looked so great when they were finished! They were easy to work with and completed work as planned and on time. I will definitely choose them for my future landscaping projects. Thank you!!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Big backyard disaster and old junk to remove. New rock and stepping stones were wonderful. Very quick response and allowed me to schedule according to my needs. We went through what I wanted, then Eddie went over what he was going to do for the price quoted. The team was so quiet in the early hours, so my neighbors were happy. I am definitely going to use this team for other jobs."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

While you can leave roots in the ground, if you don’t want the shrub to regrow again over time, it’s best not to leave any roots behind. Ensure you remove as much of the shrub as possible, including the root ball and any main roots you can see, to prevent new growth. Some gardeners opt for using a chemical treatment to prevent the stump from growing back, but this can kill beneficial microorganisms living in your soil.

You should use mulch because it protects garden soil in a few key ways. This extra layer between the ground and the elements protects against erosion, helps your soil maintain moisture, regulates changes in temperature, adds nutrients as it decomposes, and keeps weeds at bay.

Yes, it is possible to add too little mulch. Anything less than 1 inch will likely result in too little coverage around your plants, allowing weeds to grow through and minimizing the positive effects that a deeper bed of mulch would have, like maintaining proper soil moisture and insulating the ground.

Buying plants from a nursery is one thing, but ensuring that they are properly planted is another. While you might not need to hire a landscaper for every plant that you buy from a nursery, it’s a great idea to have their expertise and experience to plant larger items, like burlapped trees or specialty plants like rose bushes. Even better, before making a trip to a nursery to buy new plants, consult a local landscaper to test your soil for pH levels, soil texture, and phosphorus and potassium levels to help determine the best plants for your area.

The most important thing to put under a rock garden is the appropriate soil. The specific soil needed will depend on the type of plants you’re growing as well as the environment you live in. You can also put non-woven or woven fabric under the rocks to add to the garden's structural stability.
