Pete is the man! He built a beautiful and unique bookcase for me that nailed the look that I wanted. He worked patiently with my wife and me through many design iterations (we couldn't make up our minds). I can't say enough good things about Pete. Highly recommend!

Pete always does a great job! He uses quality materials and performs exceptional workmanship. I highly recommend his work for repairs, resurfacing and custom cabinetry. We have had Pete help us with several projects in our home and will call him again for any cabinet work.

Pete at Woodcrafters did an excellent in all aspects! Workmanship was excellent; Pete responded to telephone calls and easily made creative changes on details, as requested; completed and installed in a very timely manner, and the cost was very fair for the quality of the work. Pete at Woodcrafters is a total pro. This is the third build in he's helped us with. Every time is the same, excellence across the board from design to execution. It's probably possible to find someone who could do work for less money, but with the quality and professionalism you get from Pete I don't know why you would look elsewhere. It's just a matter of time until we hire him again.

Over the past 7 years the Woodcrafters team has built everything from bookcases to cabinets to mantles in our home. The quality of the pieces created by Woodcrafters is outstanding. Pete and his team recently built us a 14' high bookcase for our library -- it is breathtaking. The finish is beautiful, and it was installed with painstaking attention to detail. It was also very easy to work with Pete to figure out the designs that fit our vision. We are extremely pleased with his work, and will definitely use him again for future projects.

Pete called me and I explained it was a small job but I could wait. Within a 2 days Pete called me and told me he would stop by the following week. On Monday or Tuesday. He later called and told me He had to make it Wednesday around noon. He arrived 12:15 Wed and did a GREAT job and was very neat. I will keep Pete on my pros to call list. P S. He was very fair with his price considering his travel time and a small job.

Pete Pena is a true craftsman and excellent designer. We had a custom TV cabinet made to enclose our 60" TV. It included shelves and storage drawers, along with glass display shelves. In addition, we had built a fireplace mantle and enclosed the fireplace to look like one complete piece, with a ceiling high bookshelf at the end. This was a complicated project, involving an entire wall in our family room. We were impressed with Pete's skills and workmanship. We worked together on the design details by computer and we're able to see exactly what it would look like. His price was excellent for all of this work. Pete was very responsible about his time and communication with us. We are so happy with the results and glad we chose Pete for this project.

I would highly recommend WoodCrafters. Pete was very professional, quick and efficient. He took great care in designing, building and installing the kitchen,bathroom and living room shaker cabinets. Plus he designed and built a great fireplace mantel that matched the shaker cabinets on both sides of the fireplace.

I would like to recommend Pete Pena for his amazing cabinetry work.  My house went through a 100% renovation.  We had a chance to compare Pete’s work against another cabinet professional.  We used another cabinet person for our kitchen and bar cabinets before we knew Pete.  We found Wood Crafters after we started that work.  Pete did our master bed and study cabinets . I could not be happier with his fantastic work and will do any future work with him. Here is why. Pete’s great work started in the planning phase.  Even though I had experience with cabinet work, he is such a professional, he anticipated some problems with my design.  And, he pointed it out (how many other vendors let you keep moving forward because they are busy?)  Then, he kept in touch with me after the initial drawings were done.  As he did the production, he ran into things that he noticed and called me and advised me on the best approach to finishing the project.  Pete advised me on options that fit my budget. One big thing, he was always ahead of me.  He was calling me about phases he was done with before I was ready with my other subs.  (What construction vendor ever is ahead of the customer! I worked with over 25 subs, and not one were ahead of my job’s progress except the framing crew!)   I give my unequivocal support and recommendation for Wood Crafters for quality work, done with care, done with planning and done on time!  His cost is worth every dollar!

We called on a number of different cabinet makers in OC and when we met with Pete he was far and away the person we wanted to work with. We didn't expect to be able to afford custom cabinets but Pete was close enough to our budget that we both made it work. Boy am I glad we did! Pete was very communicative through out the design and build process, he worked with us as we considered various layouts and ultimately it was his design idea that became the signature element of the entire kitchen. He was diligent about double and triple checking any of my unique ideas to be sure they would work the way I envisioned. He did all this and met our ridiculous time frame while delivering work that was fantastic. We couldn't have been happier with the process and the results. I would recommend him to my own Mother. In fact, I did, she now has great cabinets from Woodcrafters too!

Hired Pete in May and writhing 6-8 weeks he was ready to install. Considering the scope of what he had to build, that was pretty amazing. I had originally went with a company that was based in Menifee since I live in Riverside. 3 months after hiring THAT company, K**********, they still did not have any drawings for me so I contacted Pete at Woodcrafters and he jumped right in. Pete had drawings within 2 days of coming to my home to take measurements!! He had all kinds of creative ideas, things I didn’t even think of. He was amazing and soooo helpful. Even after 2 months of finishing up with the projects we had a few things that needed to be tweaked and came out within 2 days!! Didn’t even hesitate. I don’t think I need anymore built ins but if I do I will without hesitation I would give him a call!!

Mr. Pete Pena, the owner and craftsman, answered all of our questions and requests. The estimate for our kitchen was very competitive with local cabinet companies, which offer semi-custom cabinets. With custom cabinets from Pete, you will get your choice of color, cabinet doors, and custom design to fit your space, instead of trying to make semi-custom cabinets work. For example, I wanted a Pantry that did not have the current design of pull out basket drawers. I wanted shelves that upon opening the pantry doors, I could see immediately what I have at a glance. No one could accommodate that request except Pete! Pete really is a master of his craft. If you want QUALITY workmanship, then I highly recommend Pete Pena at WOODCRAFTERS.

Pete did an outstanding job designing, building and installing a custom wall entertainment unit for our family room. He's a phenomenal craftsman, and his superb skills resulted in a custom piece of furniture that transformed our family room from blah to beautiful. I've never written a review before. Ever. But Pete's excellent work deserves to be praised and shared with others. I'd researched custom woodworkers for over a year, got 3 bids from the top three candidates, and Pete's bid was by far the best. The entertainment center is stunning, he completed the job quickly, was on time for every appointment, installation went flawlessly, and he went above and beyond with excellent craftsmanship and even surprised us with custom lighting that exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier with our new custom entertainment center. Next time we need custom woodworking, we know who to call. Bravo Pete!

Excellent cabinetry looks amazing

We are doing a bathroom remodel and needed our wall cabinet doors replaced. Pete Pena, Wood Crafters owner came to our house, measured the cabinet opening and ask what style door we wanted and he explained hinges, etc. Within the week we had new doors primed, hung and our new knobs were installed by Pete. The doors are just what we wanted and since they were primed they are ready to paint. We appreciate the workmanship. Pete provides personal service with great quality, flexibility in design, modifications, and the final cabinets are beautiful, for a fair price.

We were already familiar with Pete after he did a wonderful job building out a custom entertainment center around our fireplace, so we reached out to him again in the hopes that he could help us design and ultimately build out a mud room to help our three kids stay organized with shoes and backpacks. We had researched several options that we liked, and after showing them to Pete he made a couple of fantastic suggestions that greatly improved both the look and the function of what we were after. The end result was perfect. Pete is very professional, and does excellent work, but I think the thing that may set him apart is his keen eye for how to design a particular area for maximum benefit. It's like being able to hire an interior designer for free, all while getting the craftsmanship you want for durability, and at very fair pricing. I've hired a lot of contractors over the years. You'd have to look long and hard to improve on this one.

I have gotten quotes for a custom windowseat/daybed with storage from several cabinet makers and custom furniture places, but I chose Woodcrafters based on reviews, responsiveness, and flexibility with my ideas. He completed the project earlier than expected, which i'm excited about. He was very careful, meticulous, and left the work area neat. I would definitely hire him again!
