Joe's Paving Co IncWe had 5 companies bid for this job. Jesse B. from Joe's Paving took the time to listen to what we wanted and did a great job explaining the scope of the work required. The project was a long narrow driveway shared with two other neighbors. We had to do a combination of concrete and asphalt because of the grade in the drive. They coordinated each section well and worked ahead of schedule. Jesse also helped arrange delivery and installation of rocks for ground cover near the asphalt around our house. He answered any and all questions I had before the process began. Once the work began it was done quickly and efficiently in about 2.5 days (at the request of my tenants to complete the sealing work in two days instead of one to keep part of the parking lot open). The lot looks great and is holding up well so far. Sean met me for a walk around the property after the work was completed to assure quality. I am thoroughly impressed with the work. Joe's Paving Co IncThis work was done in Borrego Springs so the cost reflects transportation from San Diego. Work of a similar size in town should be cheaper. Joe's Paving got back to me in a couple of days after my initial phone inquiry. An estimator had visited our property and a drawing was submitted with a contract. This was done by email. I called to find out when the work could be done and he said the next day!! I said fine and was able to sign and date the contract, scan it, and email back to him that day. I drove out to our property that day to be there the next morning to observe the work. Two trucks towing a backhoe/grader and a roller arrived at 8:00 AM as planned and four workers started grading. A dump truck came half-hour later with the gravel. Then about an hour later another truck came with the hot asphalt mix. The grader spread this out then workers did more by hand. They rollered it with a moderate size CAT machine and by 11:00 AM using four workers and two other trucks and drivers they were done! It looked great and I was impressed. This company has the equipment and man-power to do a good job.- Richard C.

Joe's Paving Co IncWe solicited three bids for the project. Joe's Paving was the lowest bid. When picking up the rock from their vendor there was an error and more rock than ordered was provided to Joe's paving. They applied the excess rock, almost double our original expectation, at no additional cost to us. At a minimum it must have increased their labor cost to spread the rock. As it turned out the amount of gallonage set aside for our job turned out not to be sufficient. The access road was "rougher" than anticipated. The project was completed the first thing the following morning and again at no increase in cost to us. An area of about 40 square feet part way up the access road had extensive cracks and the area was patched with asphalt concrete. This was not part of the bid and was included at no cost to us. I've had work performed by painters, electricians, plumbers, roofers and carpenters. Joe's Paving was superior in every way to any other contractor with whom I have previously dealt. I would unreservedly recommend them.- Tim H.

Thomas, sales, assured & described remedy for each concern including low spot where water pools. Admitted that they are not the low bid because they are superior in workmanship. Delayed start due to material pick-up. told it would still be dry by 5pm. Lawrence walk the project identified all issues including the only low spot where water pools. the crew worked efficiently enough to solicit and complete two neighbor's projects that same day. cracks were still very visible. Lawrence said I would have to wait 6 months and repeat the process for and additional $1500 to completely fill the cracks. The area did not dry by 5 but took over 24 hours to be walkable. I paid them in full immediately. A week later the water pooled at the low spot as before. no difference. I sent photos with an email. No response from the company. I followed up with a phone call. Lawrence said there was nothing they could do and refused to come look. I am very disappointed.
