"I was given a fair bid and the driveway and retaining wall began 3 days later they started. All the work of concrete was removed the first day. Day two was all prep work and day three was the concrete pour and finish. The whole process was easy and they exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this company!"

"Went well getting bid and setting up start date. Renters were told they would have to stay off of driveway for 24 hours. After that renter drove over one particularly deep pocket and it sunk and was still wet. It never really dried. Also cracks through berm was not filled. We contacted and sent pictures to Nick and he had these issues resolved. Renters stayed off the repaired pocket for 48 hours and it's fine now.

"I enjoyed working with Vince. He understood what I needed and explained the details of the project and was very realistic. He did not try to oversell me in any way. Vince was consistently overseeing the job during the week and I really appreciated that. I look forward to working with Vince again to keep my concrete in tip-top shape. I would highly recommend his company."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

A pressure washer’s size or power is measured in pounds per square inch (PSI). The amount of pressure you need will depend on your project and the material you’re washing, but consumer pressure washers range from 500 to 2,400 PSI. Porous materials like brick and stucco should not be blasted with anything stronger than 1,000 PSI, while you can use a PSI of up to 2,400 to clean a vinyl fence.

The average cost to pressure wash a house is around $310, with typical prices ranging from $200 to $420. However, the total cost can vary widely, from $200 to $750. Power washing, which uses heated water, may cost between $250 and $400 per project, with an average of $200 to $300 for a 2,000-square-foot home.

Key factors that influence the final price include:

  • The size and height of the house (a multi-level home costs more than a single-story one).

  • The complexity of the job and accessibility of certain areas.

  • Geographic location.

  • Equipment and hourly labor costs.

Hiring a professional is often recommended as they bring their own equipment and cleaning solutions. Experienced professionals know how to complete the job effectively without causing damage to your siding, gutters, or landscaping, which can be a risk with high-powered water jets.

You can whiten concrete for unsealed and unfinished concrete with a solution or either muriatic acid or bleach and water—but never both. However, if your concrete does have a stain, finish, or polish, keep in mind that these hard chemicals could damage the topcoat. Your best bet otherwise is to power wash outdoor concrete slabs or clean indoor ones with a gentle cleaner such as laundry or dish detergent.

The time it takes to pressure wash your driveway is mainly based on size (but your driveway’s material and condition also play a role). Small driveways can be pressure washed within an hour, medium within two hours, and large within four hours. However, this does not consider any prep time or time that sealing your driveway would take.

Jet washers can last for up to 10 years, but a more exact timeline for your jet washer depends on the frequency of use and maintenance. Some machines are given a rating of their approximate total hours of usage, which can help determine how long yours will stick around based on how many hours you use it each year. Aside from learning how to properly use the jet washer, you’ll want to keep it stored safely and securely so that it won’t rust or get damaged between uses.
