His knowledge & expertise were evident from our initial discussion & throughout the project. He quickly assessed the source of multiple calcium deposits throughout our pool. It was, he said & later verified, the result of a previously faulty re-plaster job in which substandard materials were used & old plaster not removed, but plastered over!! This created a separation of the two surfaces which ultimately filled with water & led to disfiguring calcium deposits leaching into the pool. Mel’s knowledgeable & dependable team quickly & efficiently restored our pool to “like new” condition including the addition of a handsome & generous underwater seat in our pool’s deep end, repair & re-grouting of coping tiles as well as those at the water line! "They did an excellent job. The only issue was that after starting to chip away at the old plaster, they called me and told me that my pool had been replastered before. Therefore it had 2 layers of old plaster. That meant more work to chip it all the way down to the gunite. That would cost $1,500 more! I had chosen PPP because of their low bid and good reviews on Angie's List. I was very upset. Jorge said that he could replaster without stripping down to the the gunite. I told him that other companies specified in their estimate and quot;strip down to the guniteand quot;. He agreed to drop the surcharge to $1,200.
Notwithstanding this, PPP were still cheaper and did a superb job.
My recommendation to others is to make the contractor be very specific as to his assumptions and state what are the incremental costs if these assumptions turn out to be incorrect.Jorge is a very pleasant man who is a pleasure to deal with.

"Bill and the rest of the Fine Point team were incredible.
They sanded and repainted a large kitchen with stained oak cabinets. Since the oak didn't take the paint like other woods, they applied an extra coat of primer and and extra finishing coat to make sure that it looked the way we hoped. They used a spray, which helped give the cabinets a professional, uniform coat. They look fantastic.
When the paint dried, some of the cabinets didn't close properly. This is not a criticism?when we told Bill, he came by the next day to fix those that were misaligned (which could have happened in any project), so the final kitchen looked perfect.
The whole team was really friendly. They put in extra hours to make sure the job was done well, and honored their initial estimate, which was completely reasonably compared to some estimates we received.
They touched up several areas of the house. When we couldn't find a matching paint for the upstairs bathroom, Bill repainted the entire wall with another paint, and he did it for a nominal fee.
What can I say? The team was patient with us as clients, thorough with the job, and masters of the craft. Our house looks fantastic, and I'd hire them or recommend them in a heartbeat.

When I got home the day they installed the actual surface of the pool and the pool was being filled with water, I saw that the color was very wrong. I turned off the water and contacted the office immediately. They were very apologetic and came out the next day to tear out the wrong surface and install the new one. I think they handled the mistake very well and quickly so I do highly recommend them nevertheless.
