"Early Thursday morning, system was calling for heat.  The system was burning, but the blowers were not engaging.  I called Huft and they said Chris would be out between 11am and 2pm.  He arrived at 12:45.  I told him what had occurred and that I had turned the temperature down then turned the system off.  He check and cleaned the filter, started by determining why the blowers were not working.  Discovered the primary board was bad.  He then performed a safety check and found the cracked heat exchangers.  Chris then discussed with me the different options regarding repair vs. replacement.  I decided on a repair.  Chris called and located the parts required at a location downtown Sacramento.  He drove down, picked up the parts and returned in a shorter timeframe than he projected.  Once back, he immediately started the repairs.  Once the system was repaired, he notified me that he would be turning the system on, but leave the top cover off.  We could expect some smoke from the oils on the new parts.  This allowed me to notify my alarm company to put my fire/smoke alarm on test.  Once that was done, Chris adjusted the system based on our discussions and according to specs.
Chris was very polite, explained things and showed me the problems with my system.  He offered options and did not put any pressure on me to make a sale.  Each time Chris entered the house, he put plastic booties over his shoes.  That was a first and I appreciated it.  Based on his performance and behavior, I have signed a service contract with Huft.  I would highly recommend them to anyone in the future.
