"Rick did a great job installing a water heater and rerouting water supply lines. He also repaired my fireplace mantle and replaced baseboards in my living room. On another occasion he poured a concrete pad and repaired bathroom tile. He knows all phases of construction. I would recommend him to anyone needing a handyman or plumber who knows his stuff!"

"Pretty well, we read the instructions and was able to put the machine together. He was a very conscientious worker for putting the machine together correctly and tried to keep the work area clean and parts laid out and separated so as not to be lost. Would highly recommend."

"STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. I hesitate to write this review only because it will only make it harder to get Sergio to conduct electrical work for my house. Sergio was fantastic - clearly dedicated to his profession. Because he was replacing the entire panel, came out to look at it beforehand to make sure he had the parts. No unnecessary time was wasted on the day of installation because he knew what was needed. I have already set up for Sergio to come to do more work at the house!"

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

The best place for a kitchen sink drain is the middle of the sink. Most people prefer center drains because they allow for better water and waste drainage, and the center location limits splashing because water flows straight down the drain hole. If the sink drain is too close to the edge of the sink, water can collect and drain too slowly. It can also be easier to clean sinks when the drain is closer to the center since debris is easier to wash down and doesn’t collect along the sides as easily.

Pedestal sinks are bolted or screwed into the floor and the wall to prevent it from moving out of place. You may have to change or add to the bathroom flooring when installing a pedestal sink if the flooring was laid around the previous sink, not under it.

Yes, you can use flexible pipe for a sink drain. Flexible pipes can make it easier to fit sink plumbing together with less measuring and fewer cuts. However, corrugated flexible pipe can trap hair, grease, and food particles in the folds and cause foul odors and eventually build up enough to clog the drain. Smooth pipes are recommended for sink drains and plumbing.

If your sink is on an exterior wall that isn’t insulated, or if pipes travel through a cabinet against an exterior wall that prevents heated air from circulating around the pipes, the pipes can freeze, causing them to burst. The best way to avoid leaking sinks is to insulate the pipes and open cabinets in the short term to warm the water line up and prevent freezing.

Yes, if you live in a climate with extended periods of frost or snow, it’s best to winterize the sink and avoid potential bursting. Similar to winterizing a garden hose, turn off your water from the source. Once turned off, open the faucet so the remaining water completely drains out. You can also pour a small amount of antifreeze down the sink drain so any trapped water won’t freeze.
